[Feedback] Hard to notice validation feedback

So I was recently posting a bug report to this sub-community, but I forgot to pick a sub-community on the New Thread page. When I hit "Submit" nothing happened. I tried mashing the button some more, because why not, but to no avail. Anywho, it took me a good five minutes to notice that little red "(Required)" text alerting me that I needed to pick a community to post in. The alert wasn't even on my screen when I was mashing submit (my screen is kind of small).

It would help if something popped up when I hit the submit button, because static text on the page is hard to notice. The little popup that happens when you forget to give a title is very nice, but I know that may not work with your weird drop-down menu. Shrug
