I'd like to be able to put support as my secondary without getting put as support 70% of the time

Seriously, I've played 16 Ranked games now with Bot as my Primary role and Support as my Secondary role, and I ended up as Support in 12 of them. I didn't put Support as my primary; i.e., I don't want to play a large majority of my games as Support. I would just rather play support than the other 3 options if I can't get my first choice, Bot.

Y'all see this is a problem, right? Anyone who is not a Support main should be afraid to put Support as their secondary role, because it will all-but-ruin their chances of getting their main role.

Only 70%? I'd consider yourself lucky.

Well I think that just elucidates the bigger problem that support is the least desired role in solo queue, and I don't blame the community on that. Ranking up isn't determined by your merits as an individual, but rather whether your team wins or loses a game. Most people would rather play a role where they can feel like they are in more control over determining whether they win or lose a game. Let's be honest and anecdotes aside, your support will not carry your game 9 times out of 10.

In truth I hate it, and if I dont put supp as my secondary role some times I have to wait like forever to get into a game.

They need to make support more fun/influential. It was my main last season, and while I enjoy the role while playing with higher ELO friends who can follow up on plays, it was agonizing carrying myself out of bronze as support. I eventually ended up going mid, and got out in like 5 games, even though I'm a far worse mid than I am support. Medicore mid --> carries bronze. Support that was complimented on good play by Gold/Plat people --> Struggles to climb. I guess my point is that support is the role where skill is most divided from ability to climb, which is generally the point of ranked. I can see support being quite valuable in higher ELO when your ADC can CS and position themselves, but most players aren't mid gold + and therefore will potentially be doing themselves a disservice by choosing to play support.
