Only downvote if you genuinely believe the post is bad/not constructive to the environment of the boards. Downvotes are not disagree buttons, but rather buttons to force out bad posts.

Some posts are well written, but its unpopular opinion make it downvoted to the bottom. Meanwhile upvote posts exist.
