Seriously, two of my three placement matches had an AFK in them.
I wouldn't be so angry if they didn't say 'kys'. That escalated them from a simple report to an email to riot support.
When I told the player what I did, only then did he get apologetic. Once I told him I'd already sent the email, he said to kill yourself again.

It's like the drunk guy who's all nice to the cop until they take him to jail so he turns back into an asshole cuz fuck it, he's already in trouble. Just wanna say though, don't hold your placements on a pedestal. You're gonna get placed somewhere in bronze or silver anyways, so it's really not a big deal. Treat em like any other match or you'll just feel disappointment and anger.

Placements are 100% based on your MMR and your individual performance has no impact on where you're placed. This isn't Overwatch lol.

If you get 8 wins and a ton of cs and towers, your MMR will go wayyy up, don't care what anyone here says.
You guys that got 8 wins while getting 100cs don't know what I'm talking about.

Morality Coach1 votesI think that it does after watching my own placements over multiple accounts doing different things for Flex Queue. In the past no, but for Flex queue I believe so.
angery pout1 votesYou're one person with anecdotal evidence. Riot has stated that individual performance doesn't affect how you place. Based on the ranked play FAQ, placement is based on whether you win or lose, your MMR vs that of your opponents, and your rank from previous seasons where applicable.
Now please stop misleading people. I wish a red would comment confirmation so there wouldn't be so much back and forth.
