@Riot Why is toxicity still such a major issue in this game?

Riot, why are people still being toxic? It's not as if you don't have the ways to eliminate those players. Look at World of (T)anks, they have almost no toxic players, and there is 15 on each team. Toxic players has never been a big problem for them, and they don't give a sh!t about the playerbase. Why don't we have better anti-toxicity filters?

Isn't the average match length for world of tanks round less than 10 minutes? League also has a bunch of downtime between the action while waiting for respawn.

In short, League gives more opportunities to be a jerk and be forced to stay in the same match as a jerk.

Because league has a bigger player base, thus more probability to run into assholes? And also because cyber-bullying exists as a social issue in general?

You might as well ask why there are bad people in the world lol

I think it's like aero waffle put it... trolls know they have a captive audience for a good amount of time. If you leave a ranked match, it's a loss. So a lot of people will just stay in and suffer the rest of the match. Also i dont think toxicity is that big of a deal. It's all about personal opinion. Ya toxicity is rampant on this game, but it doesn't bother me THAT much. Just words from anonymous assholes using their anonymity to be assholes. No use getting upset about it.

World of Tanks matches are much shorter. Also, I haven't played WoT in a while, but I remember flaming being a thing. Not as prevalent as league but it was there. I play World of Warships more often now and I occasionally encounter a flamer.

Every game has toxicity,Every console has toxicity,WoT has toxicity, just because it never happened around you doesnt mean it doesnt happen (coming from someone whos played the game for a long time, having two teir 10s and multiple teir 8s)

You have to take into account the League demographics.

Approximately 10,000, which is a pretty good representative number (though, it's seems a bit higher than normal) for the average age of League players, and the trend of age is convenient with the Poisson Distribution and the bell curve is about right. So, the average age is around 12-18 years of age for the average League player (with some outliers being >35).

Riot has also distributed official stats of their game, with >90% of players being male.

Pair it all together, and that's just a recipe for disaster, AKA, Call of Duty, MOBA edition.

Because the game is boring and the matches take to long and the ranked system is entirely flawed.
