I was never racist, homophobic, etc. I was just tilted and would rage at my teammates. This was months ago and although I'm not perfect I can say I've definitely gotten better, I still slip up sometimes though. I haven't had any chat bans or game bans since then. Will I be eligible for rewards at the end of the season? I can't believe I finally hit gold and have the chance of not getting border >.>

Because a 14 day ban is one step from being perma-banned. Think of this way, you worked at not being perma-banned.

It's to allow reformed players to still get the rewards. Reform, as defined by riot, is going 3 months without punishment.

It is, because the next punishment after a 14 day ban is a permanent ban anyway. The 3 month period is just to demonstrate that it wont happen again.
