Something Needs to Change

I've recently seen a large amount of Permabanned players that got permabanned for programs Riot claimed that were "Not usable". Granted, some players do like to cheat and hack their way to the top, but one thing that I've seen with all these reports/support tickets is that Riot never gives the "abuser" the name of the program that they wern't allowed to use.

Riot, I don't understand. If you permaban an account, shouldn't someone at least give the one at fault an explanation for what they did/what program they used?? That way, if it was unintentional they can

  1. Explain the reasoning behind said 3rd party program
  2. Understand why said 3rd party program is not allowed
  3. Start from the bottom (if Riot chooses to do so), knowing that they shouldn't be using that program

And I understand, too many people go on the boards for actually screwing up and they want their account back to do the same thing over and over. But you currently have a "guilty until proven innocent by Riot" with 3rd Party Programs. Could the Arbiters and/or Mods, or the Reds please explain the reasoning on this?

Thank you for your feedback

If they tell people what exactly triggered the system, the rule breakers can then work around that to continue scripting. Denying information makes their lives harder. Riot has said the system is extremely accurate. It does have a small error rate, like any system, so we shouldn't take people immediately as guilty, but most of the people that post did knowingly broke the rules.

Riot cvan technically ban your account/terminate/ETC without even notifying you, not saying it is right but they technically don't have to explain themselves. Even though i think they should. It is in the terms of service that they can do this stuff.

Being a victim of this, I just feel victimized and defenceless against the Riot onslaught. My email is so vague I could swap the sentence around a little and come up with an entirely different reason to being banned. A PERMA ban, no warning, no telling me what triggered it. Of course, I'm waiting on a reply now, but having lost everything for something that I don't even know.. Feelsbadman ;L

We can't do much about Riot's policy, but you could possible submit a ticket and ask for a second chance. Riot actually has overturned permanent-bans in the past.

And if that doesn't work you should save up some money to buy an XP/IP boost on your new account. ONly use your IP for runes, and then use your RP to rebuild your champion pool. If you have a lot of money, then why not just buy a lot of RP?
