Is riot serious about fighting boosting?

Ive duo q boosted several people to plat from high silver and none of them got banned. So is it really something bannable? Like seriously the duo q boost ya know... I don't think they legit enforce it.

Its only considered boosting if account sharing is involved. What u describe is classified as "carrying" and is allowed. Those players didnt get banned because they didnt break any rules. They played on their own accounts.

They paid for me to carry them though. Seems like something they should be banned for cuz once they are plat they just lose like 30 games in a row and get back to where they were in elo. Hurts their teams.

Well if you have proof of transactions, open ticket and report them. But you will get banned too. Also it wont be for boosting/carrying but for selling League services for real money without Riots permission. We even had Dynamic queue last season , a lot of people got carried to higher ranks and it was allowed.

Wait so you're taking like a moral standpoint on this? It's wrong because now they're gonna make other people lose? Yet you're the one who boosted them there? What are you on the verge of death and rethinking all of the bad things you've done? What's with the change of heart? Or is it that you have no integrity and you'll do things that you know are wrong just for a little money? Are you just a phony person?

If I was gonna die the last thing I care about is what was ethical in my life. I just boost for fun and to practice the game. I have a full time job. Only people in poor countries could consider boosting worth their time for the small money it pays.

The knowledge base article says "MMR Boosting (Match Making Rating, also known as Elo Boosting) is an act where a player (The Booster) logs into another player's account (The Boostee) to play a ranked game." I also went ahead and talked to some of the other volunteers and I am told that this isn't considered boosting, because "paying to have someone climb with you is okay provided everyone is on their own account." I hope this clears things up!

Edit: This is considered "playing with someone" and I disagree with the outcome and what they told me (to me it's still considered boosting as you're paying someone to play with you and "help" you ascend the ranks).
