I don't even know how many times it has happened to me that someone has banned my champion on purpose after I have shown it preference. Then they're surprised when i don't play my best in their game.

It's as if banning someones best champ is a token for good will or something. ???

Why can Riot not make it so pref champions are not bannable??? It is good teamwork to show your champ preference. That should not be an invitation to be trolled by your own team!

Because there's always situations where the ban is correct.

That's because when someone won't reason with you and decides support Morde is their choice then banning it looks pretty good.

Unless you are first pick there are no guarantee's that you will get the champ before the enemy team. Sometimes ppl ban because they do not want to chance the enemy getting the champ. Or they feel the pick doesn't fit the comp and do not want to waste time in a game with a bad composition do to someone determined to pick a champ even if it is off meta or may cost the game...

Personally, I would love to ban Vayne every time I support and the ADC picks Vayne... so many horrible Vaynes, so so so so many...

If you are that concerned about it, I suggest not showing your intended pick until after bans are done, not completely effective but will lessen the problem.

Because if you have a champion that is super broken or extremely popular and strong and you are last pick, I'm not chancing it that the enemy team picks up that champion before you and wrecks us. Same goes for playing any new or updated champions in Ranked, if I was playing Ranked when Zoe comes out...then for the first 1-2 weeks I will ban her.

There are times when banning a team mates pref pick is alright. Mainly if the champion in question is either New/Recently updated or if that champion is really strong. Now if your champion is normally hardly banned, and not insanely strong right now and you hovered them, then I could understand being annoyed.

I suspect that not being able to ban preferred champions can be abused in some way

Otherwise it's technically not a reportable offense.

It is only punishable if it is considered griefing. Thing is, there's a very thin line between having a bad game and griefing by intentionally feeding. I have witnessed uncountable games where I have seeing others being accused of hinting when they only have died probably 2 to 3 times early game and have come back to win the game. I myself as being counter drunk old numerous times and has been accused of hinting. The thing is is it griefing or not?

An example would be like this, Udyr is highly overpowered at the moment, and specially in the early game where I, Evelynn in most cases, I'm extremely weak. Him invading my jungle and killing me a couple of times while taking all of my cats would not count as griefing by intentionally feeding. That is just me having a bad game.

How this comment made it into the wrong thread sorry about that.

Because the enemy might pick it.

You can always report someone for any reason. It's just unlikely to be punished if this is the only negative behavior on their account. However, if you suspect them of having other negative behaviors, you can report them, and those behaviors might be picked up during the review process.

Also, it is incredibly unlikely you will ever even remember or play with this person again. Relax.

Its reportable under the "Negative Attitude" category

I perma-ban yi on principle regardless of team. And people often ban any off-meta champ-role combinations I try. All league players are toxic, as is custom.
