Feel like banning that champion your teammate has declared because you lolnexused their account and you think they're terrible?

Feel like banning that Champion your teammate declared exclusively because someone played bad as that Champion in your last match?

Do you want to run it down mid and intentionally feed your ass off because some schmuck banned your favorite champion?

Got the urge to rage and spew filth from the orifice that is your mouth because your bottom lane keeps feeding?

Ever feel like going afk just because the first 5 minutes of the game didn't go your way?

Just... don't!

It's a really simple concept, and your account and teammates will love you all the more for it. You won't get banned, you won't get chat restrictions. A little bit of self control can go a long way.

Remember, just because those other 9 players have no idea who you are in real life, it doesn't make it any less hurtful.

There's a common misconception that your skill level determines how manly you are, which I find kind of hilarious. There's also another misconception that talking crap on the Internet is manly. Both of those assumptions drive people to be jackasses on the Internet. I've been called fat many times, which is funny because I'm actually quite toned now after a few months of working out and eating healthily. But I guess they found my profile picture on my LoL profile.

They think they look tough talking shit all the time, but it shows how babish they are. They are the same ones who get the most affected when it's turned against them too, smh league of children. I am guilty of emote spamming though... just becasue I think it's funny, not to be mean lol.

While your reasoning for banning it might be sound to you, it's still a douche maneuver.

Then I just mute him. If having them play Yasuo top, or Nunu botlane, or whatever it is is detrimental and lessens the team's chance of winning, I'll ban it and save 3 other people trouble

I get the reasoning for wanting to ban a champ that shows evidence supporting an increased chance for a loss; and I also guarantee that the largest portion of LoL players will respond to that ban in such a way as to make that loss definite. I don't know about you, but when I pull up op.gg, I see a very generic history for that player/champ. I don't have much time in the ban phase to get in depth information that tells me this player is bad with that champ ALL the time. I do however have 100% data on all players who have responded to my banning of their champ. Most feed, are negative, afk, and are generally unpleasant; and I was the source of that discord when I banned their champ and I understand that winning at that point should not be expected at all. The only way I've seen people avoid a loss from banning a teammate's champ is if someone dodges (because they know what is coming). I've run into more people that try to force a dodge that way bc they are autofilled than bc they think it "lessens the team's chance of winning."

3/10/2 with 130 CS is far better than 0/25 because he's now inting. It's still not right to int if your teammate bans your pick, but it sure as hell is understandable.

Their win rate is literately irrelevant to you. Literately every stat they have pre-game is irrelevant.

If you ban someone's main, you are going to make them worse. It doesn't matter what their win rate on that champion is. It could be 90%, or 30%. If you ban their main, their second-best champion will have a lower one.

Banning an ally's pick is immediately able to be reported for inting. Because that's what it is.

This is simply not true. Banning a pick intent out from your teammate is not a bannable offense. However, as many have stated, it can and will cause toxicity from that teammate which will reduce your chances of victory harshly.

I have banned my teammates intended pick before. It's certainly your right to do it, Riot has stated that you can do as you wish with your ban. If I see you're locking in Sivir and you went 0/16 with her the last 5 games you played, then yeah, I'll ban her.

My reasons for banning the champion are irrelevant, I'll ban a champ if I so chose. Perhaps I don't want to face them, maybe they're a contested pick or perhaps I just want to play a game without seeing a Thresh for a change.

You can "feel like" doing whatever you want, what you actually do with those feelings is what speaks volumes. If you afk, that's reportable, if you feel like doing it but don't actually do it then that's just fine.

Please stop trying to dictate what I can and cannot do with my ban, it comes across as self-righteous and patronizing.

It only pisses me off when the person who says it was the player on their team who fed, raged, and generally was terrible the entire game.

Most of the time, ADCs, which is why I'm glad to be atypical as one.

That person is most likely trying to be ironic about it.

I can see how annoying it can be, but I find people spamming the boards with "rito this guy hurt my feelings plz ban this shuld b a reportable offense" more annoying. I absolutely despise people that can't handle taking stuff on the chin, especially extremely small things like this.

Every time I share my opinion on the topic it gets downvoted to hell anyways, which truly shows how many people I despise.

I still ban LeBlanc because I had a 100% loss rate against her last season.

I played like 27 games with and against LeBlanc. Lost every single one of them exclusively because of the LeBlanc player. I'm talking 27/0 enemy team 0/27 my team.

Here's the thing though - banning your teammates' Champions for any reason will more than likely make them play poorly, inadvertently making it easier to lose when that's not your goal.

And that's not even taking into account the possible direct reactions to having their pick intent banned. Some people will go out of their way to make the match hell for you because you banned their Champion, doing everything from flaming, intentionally feeding, trolling, and anything in between.

So, I reiterate; for your own sake, if no one else's - don't ban your teammate's pick intent.

Plus it's highly likely if their pick intent is taken by the other team first, the chances are high your teammate will know that champion quite well, so they may be able to pick a suitable champion to vs against it. They could even potentially play well against it.

I think using the mastery indicator when you make a good play is acceptable. Otherwise, why would it be there? All it really says is, "I'm really good at this champion because it's my main, so that's probably why you lost there."

Although I do use it ironically as well—when I'm up against a Thresh and I get hooked twice in a row, for example.

I think little things like that are acceptable within the bounds of sportsmanship. What wouldn't be, I think, would be using /all chat to BM them or taunt them.

For sure, if you make a godly play then by all means celebrating is normal. I was mostly referring to players that will spam /laugh every time they kill you just to rub salt in the wounds.

The most annoying mastery spams to me are when their jungler has an awesome gank and kills you and your laner who did 0 damage during the gank spams it. I'm like: you didn't do anything lol.

It's not necessarily about the revenge but it's an act aimed for the greater good.

It shows the guy that bans a teammates pick intent that he can't just get away with it. In the long run if people don't allow him to get away with it he'll be forced to stop or endure his punishment :).

I do this if I feel like it. Simple as that. Everything else I agree with but I know I don't have to, I know I don't need to but I sure as hell want to. >:)

You know what, I'm removing this one from the list. A couple of you guys have brought this up and you're right, it's not really that bad.

I was specifically referring to the types of people that you know are doing it in order to disrespect/BM, the guys that are obviously trying to get a rise out of you. These guys will usually accompany their emote spam with "?" or "too easy" or "get good". Something along those lines lol.

You're right. More people should. Personally, I have a very high tolerance for being flamed and toxic behavior so I have never muted anyone personally. It depends on the person I suppose.

What is wrong with my summoner name? It's a common sailing term from centuries ago referring to the way a ship will list uncontrollably when a few of the sheets are not secured. It is a reference to inebriation.

The fact that it's an anonymous stranger on the INTERNET, which people don't consider "real life", really should make it less hurtful.
