PSA: this is just a game

for some reason this seems to be something people dont understand. in almost every single game theres at LEAST 1 person on one of the teams who's just horrendously toxic at some point. i cant tell you how many times people have told me to kill myself, wished i get cancer, told me im garbage and should uninstall, and just about every single other insult you can possibly think of just for making a poor play or building an item someone thinks shouldnt be built. people get so worked up and angry about this game and make it seem as if everything is a personal offense. so, for those of you for whom this isnt perfectly clear, THIS IS JUST A GAME. its meant to be fun. its meant to be difficult. its meant to force people to become better. its not an excuse to treat people like dirt over something so menial. i dont understand why people cant just grow up my goodness. if its at the point where you take the game so seriously and so personally that youre willing to tell someone to kill themself or wish they get raped or anything like that, you need to quit playing

edit: i should add since a lot of people are making this about me that im not talking about just myself, although i did use examples from my own experience. i recognize that im not a great player, but thats entirely beside the point. im sick of seeing my jungle flame mid lane for not rushing morello or other trivial crap like that. this is just a game guys, all getting angry and raging will do is give you and everyone else a worse experience playing a game thats meant to be fun. if youre upset that someone is doing bad, POLITELY advise them on the correct path. if someone flames you, mute them, dont flame back
