I get harassed & reported for trying to fix my ping.

So I play an ARAM game. And within the first 30 seconds I start getting 4k+ ping. I tell me team brb I need to fix this. After 3 minutes or so. I fix it. I then see my team start telling the enemy team where I was. And that they should kill me. "Kill Annie, she's in the brush behind the turret, Free Kill" This is the moment I come back. Then I said Idiot Maokai. Was it wrong yes, I even told everyone after that I was sorry and I didn't mean it.

When my own team mates are telling the enemy where I am and to kill me, free kill. That is pretty dumb imo. I then am harassed the rest of the game by my team, as well as the enemy. They all saying how they are going to report me, how I deserve to be banned, and that me "afking" is unacceptable. The fact that I'm at my computer the whole time. I told my team that I was trying to fix my ping. For them to troll me then flame me, and then report me. Because I said idiot, the only BM, I said all game, which I did apologize for. Is completely unacceptable.

After the game they continued to harass me, saying things like, "Everyone report Annie, report Annie so they don't see our reports." I proceed to tell them, that I will be making a post on the here. The LOL boards. And they just continue. <Removed By Moderation> nah, flaming in all chat is better than an afk'er <Removed By Moderation> lol "posting this on boards".

Maokai then begins to mock me by saying this. <Removed By Moderation> "I afk' in bush, ignored many pings by team, but maokai is an idiot for telling team where I was going to be found anyway" <Removed By Moderation> lol

I'm behind the turret in a bush. The enemy team has no idea that I am there. But Maokai's logic is because Annie didn't respond to teams pings, I should tell the enemy team where Annie is and that they should kill Annie because Annie is a free kill.

When I said I was going to report moakai for harassing me. He replied with, "idgaf", and later calls me a moron and that I shouldn't mess with him because I'm going to be banned. For afking...The enemy team said they were also reporting me, "FOR THE MEMES!"... This behavior is completely unacceptable. I hope something is done about these situations in the future. The fact people are being reported & harassed isn't how league should be. Someone shouldn't be put down by others who think they are playing God and nothing bad will happen to them.

I hope you reported them for griefing / helping the enemy team, after the match I mean. Because giving away a teammate's location in all chat is absolutely punishable.

Mute and report. Don't say anything back, or they will have a valid reason to report you. Sucks that Riot loves to punish toxicity over ACTUAL GAME-THROWING OFFENSES like HELPING THE ENEMY TEAM ffs. Reports do nothing if you haven't actually done anything (even though I wouldn't be surprised if saying "idiot" could get you a 2 week ban).

Need to post chat logs. You probably said a lot of shit that just wasn't necessary and you were in the wrong by AFKing in the first place. My PC froze once in an ARAM and I got back and apologized too many times I guess. My apologies were met with "shut up afker" and "muted". Lol muted for apologizing. So I just shut up. Gotta read the room man. If people don't like you, stop talking to them. Stop trying to reason with anonymous strangers in the middle of a game. Just shut up and play and mute them if it bothers you.

Hello! I removed the name & shame parts of your posts, but if you'd like to ask about what specifically you said to cause a punishment, I'd be happy to help you if you posted your chatlogs! They should pop up by either logging into the game, or getting it in your email.

As others said however; your connection is your responsibility, and in the off-chance it is a Riot issue, they would avoid punishing players. If you afk'd, no matter if it's an accident or you have to, you'll be punished by Leaverbuster.
