Got Permabanned. Just got back from 2 week ban. Had a bad day, shouldn't have played.

Yeah I was an ass. Here's what I sent player support:

Hi. So yeah I looked at the log and I was toxic, I'm sorry. I just got off a 2 week ban and I was going to play nicer, but it was a bad idea to play today. I heard from the doctor recently that I have severe tendinitis in my arms, and I'm a professional saxophone player. They told me I'll never get to play again. My grandma's funeral was today, she was a professional clarinetist and is the reason I chose music for my career. I played for her funeral and cried because it was sad and my arms hurt so bad. Tonight I tried to play league to relax but it was a bad idea, I was on a lot of prescription painkillers and not thinking clearly and in a lot of pain, I should have waited 3-4 weeks for my arms to heal like the doctor said. From the logs, I was negative, but probably not toxic enough to ban a normal player, it's just because of my history and recently 2 week ban I think. I'm sorry, I really was going to be nicer but today was the literal worst day of my life and I should have not played on heavy medication and pain and while grieving for my grandma. If you could find the holiday spirit to have sympathy and just issue another 2 week ban instead, I'll have more time to recover from these extenuating circumstances. I hope you have a nice day, at least somebody should have one.

So yeah. Don't play league when you need to be reforming on the worst day of your life while on hydrocodone and super depressed.

Update: Riot support replied. Lot of automated stuff, then someone basically said (paraphrasing) "yeah, that's unfortunate, sorry for you. No exceptions ever though or everyone would expect to be unbanned. have fun playing other games that aren't league."

So yeah. I guess this is it. I might check the boards for a few more days until the post dies but I'll never get to play again. I just recently got all the champions after playing since s3 so I don't think I would have the time to start over. Sorry for ruining any of your games I was in. Also, since you guys asked, I happened to play with a rioter a few days before the ban who worked in the sound department and he wouldn't talk to me when I asked if they need a saxophonist. I know I'm good enough, I've given world premieres at Carnegie Hall in NY City, but yeah, wouldn't answer me.

If anyone knows of any other fun games that are free, please let me know. Musician's don't make a lot.

I mean, I have seen much worse in the way of toxicity. While this was definitely not good, it is still only borderline ban worthy. This is the type of behavior you see on a daily basis. No suicide calls, not the worst harassment I have seen, no hate speech. believe your story and I can only imagine how bad you must have been feeling that day. The reason I believe you is because of the attitude I am getting from this post. Almost all ban posts are toxic people blaming riot for their ban. You are taking the responsibility for something that a lot of people would just be blaming others for.

I hope riot sees this post, and I wish the best of luck to you in your life. I really hope you can find happiness in life regardless of the outcome (unbanned or banned).

I'm sorry but I don't sympathize with you, as far as your League of Legends ban goes. I think you deserve it, and everyone saying they do worse deserve it even more. This community is nothing less but toxic.

That being said, I'm really sad for the loss if your grandma, my biggest condolences :( Hope the illness goes away soon too so you can do what you do best again.

If you make a second account, or if the perm gets lifted (which I kinda hope it does even though I think you fully deserve it), then it might just be a good idea to mute everyone and pretend chat doesn't even exist, if you're ever in any sort of bad mood again and think you'll low-key flame.

Toxicity is so stupid. You gotta be like 13 to feel the need to flame your team in chat or be passive aggressive. If you want to win, shut up and do your job, telling someone they did something wrong like this achieves literally less than zero. I don't get how people have problems with this, at the end of the day it is a GAME. Anyone who has been banned/perma banned for whatever reason (unless rito fucked up and accused someone of something they didnt do) is deserved.

Good man for apologizing and as a fellow musician i feel for you, but people who act like this and can't control themselves in the chat are scum and shouldnt have the right to play in an environment that is fundamentally, a game.

Riot Games, Ask yourself is this person worthy of a permanent account which his worked very hard to get to Platinum? His a professional Saxophone player! You could even hire this person for your music! You must change the way you permanently ban people, Just because he used the word ''F**K'' In chat his worth a ban right now. That's how this system works.

This is 2016 Riot Games. He did not verbally abuse anyone, Instead got abused himself for trying to be a team player and after all the hard things his gone through like a real summoner according to your Summoner's Code. This system is a complete joke.

If anything, I hope support gets back to you. Whether or not you get the ban lifted/reduced, it'd be nice. Probably depends on whether or not this is the -only- game in question and all that jazz. Regardless, it takes some degree of responsibility to own up to your mistakes, so respect for that.

My condolences on your loss. My grandmother, who basically raised me, passed away in 2003 and the loss hasn't grown any less painful in the years since. I hope that you are able to find your way back to your music and that it brings you a measure of peace.

Is that the only game you played? You were passive aggressive but there's nothing in there to warrant a 2 week ban, much less a permanent ban.

If so I hope you get the perma lifted. Sometimes people vent real frustrations through other mediums, and although that doesn't justify bad behavior I can still empathize with you.

Based on what I see, I think perma banning is a really stupid thing to do, but I don't know. I've never really played with you, so I can't really tell how toxic you are. However, the stuff here really isn't that bad. You aren't pushing people to suicide, being racist, sexist, ableist or whatever. You were only really being passive aggressive which is shitty but not permaban shitty.

Old Tyler1 running it down mid and telling people he was gonna fuck their mom with a monkey wrench or whatever, that's permaban worthy. You can't even scorch an ant with this flame and I think you're no worse than any of the garbage I've seen laying around the rift. If this chat log is ban-worthy, then about 80% of the community should be banned, including myself.

I'm torn. On the one hand I think this is absolutely not ban worthy. There is literally chat like this or even worse in every single game I play. If all people who write like this are banned, league would not have any players.

On the other hand, this post stinks after fishing for sympathy. We have no idea whether it's true what you write, that diagnosis you got, your grandma died, hell you might not even know what a saxophone looks like.

So no, there goes the sympathy, because if you play "world premieres" are Carnegie Hall, you ain't some random low-key saxophonist who plays in the local diner after 5pm. So either your story about you performing in Carnegie Hall is b.s., or the story about you not making money is.
