Normals so Toxic

I have been playing mostly ranked, but wanted to learn a new champion and moved to normals and I couldn't believe it but it was 10x as toxic as ranked. I literally just bought fiora and was trying to get her combos down and ended up afking for the first time I can remember just because of the shit I got. Why do people get so mad it doesn't matter there is no ELO yet they get more pissed then actual ranked where their are stakes on the line. This was literally my worst league experience ever and the first time I actually considered quitting just because its not worth it.
