is it just me or do people tend to look at nothing but kills and deaths? ex: noob kindred, 0/4 when the kindred is actually: 0/4/12 ^just an ex anyone else see this?
edit: like i said, just an example, it could be any other champ, kindred just came to mind

I get this a lot when I play a tank. My response is "if you want me to take the kills I'll take the kills, I thought I was being nice giving them to you." They usually shut up after that because they know I'm right.

Assists are trash all about the K/D
If your assists are meaningful: you did decent damage, gave useful stats, landed cc on the enemy, ok. If you got 12 assists because you accidentally landed some aoe/had an aura and you happened to walk nearby by mistake, well, we have a problem there.
Also the KDA count treats kills and assists the same way: it's (kills+assists)/ deaths If you are positive, or even better with a kda of 3 (doing good) or of 6 (carrying hard) nobody will complain except fuckers that are just looking for an excuse to flame you. If you are 0/4/12 just keep not throwing, farm it up and keep working towards victory and nobody should have the right to tell you anything. Be the attention whore yasuo that jumps 1v85924 just to show off how good he is at pressing E, and your score will suffer.
Also kindred is shit right now, let's make our voice heard by riot to have them fixed since right now it's probably one of the bottom 5 worst junglers.

KDA = Kills + Assists / Deaths
Pure and simple. Assists are just as meaningful as the kill.
Yeah. It's even more annoying when I am support, and I flash in to get a kill that is WAY out of range of the ADC, so he gets an assist instead of nothing, and they say ':(' or 'ks'.
Lol and another game I was like 2/4/30 cause I was support giving tons of kills away and then some guy says he carried and that 'we had a shit support' at the end when hes like 7/4/1, and said "Assists just mean you don't know how to secure kills" I was laughing so hard when he said this, as I had given him at least 3-4 kills I could have easily taken and saved his ass many times. I was hoping inside that he was actually joking and not really that ignorant. That was one of the few games I 'carried' as support and I get this troll guy who thinks he carried lol

Issue is, assist is a very vague thing. You could either do 99.99% damage, and someone last hit the person, you get an assist. Or, you could do 0.01%, but not get the kill, and get an assist. It isn't a good indication of how helpful you were. If someone does over a certain percentage of the enemies hp, it should count as their kill, and the player that last hit it could still get the kill gold.
