Got banned 14 days for quoting racist a flamer

I don't like this, so I proceed to threaten him with "Screened for racial slurs" (I don't have a tool for screening in game yet, I should get one) Both Riven and Karthus begin spamming "%%%%%%" in the chat together (They are premade, even their name match together) At this point it's just tilting me, telling me "Are you offended?", so I make an imitation of them saying " 'Haha it's so funny using racial slurs' " I then proceed to say "Dumb %%%%%%s implies the black race is stupid" because nobody should be using this in an offensive way. After them continuously trying to tilt me, I begin to troll them with memes and freedom of speech. Lastly, I say "Dumb %%%%%% and %%%%%% is different", because the word alone isn't as offensive.

Right after my game, I get a 14 day ban for usage of racial slurs: I got reported by Karthus and Riven who were insulting me all game, and probably Vayne who kept telling "stfu" to me.

I do believe repeating these words isn't really good, and maybe I wasn't fully thinking, but right now, I've got 10 more days on my ban, am considered as someone toxic and dishonorable, and the most tilting is the unfriendly support who ignores all my questions, regardless of them being related to my ban or not, and close my ticket without answer. (I haven't even asked to contest my ban; I'm mainly trying to ask similar cases, if it's normal it happened, because they completely ignore my situation.)

Hopefully someone can be more friendly than the riot support and give me opinion on this matter.

Zero Tolerance is ZERO TOLERANCE. Regardless of the reason you used racial slurs, it doesn't justify its use under riots rules of ZERO TOLERANCE.

Lol, if I said "This" instead, it would still redirect to the racial slur, meaning I said it indirectly, so it's pretty much an block way.

Additionally, I see multiple people (friends, more-or-less friends, premades) using racial slurs, but not having reported, they have never gotten a ban. And they used these racial slurs as a joke, as opposed to me who used it to quote someone and tell them it's not good to say these things.

So first off, submit a support ticket. Next, share your logs. If this is truly a slur that wasn't directed at anyone, then you might be able to get a rioters attention and he might look into your punishment.

Lastly, there's nothing to be accomplished from using slurs, even in repeating them. Just mute and report.

I did so. The support didn't even give a care. I also had multiple questions to ask them, such as wanting to know what should I do in similar/close to similar case, but they just kept saying "we will not remove your ban" (Which I wasn't even asking) and they ended up closing my ticket. They were really hostile toward me.

all that matters is how many reports you got. Context and anything else doesn't matter to riot just as long as they make $

Number of reports has no impact at all.

1 report is the same as 9.

A single report will flag a game for review by the IFS.

Riot Tantram (NA) - about a year ago Multiple reports do NOT increase the likelihood of flagging a game for review. One report is all it takes. There is no benefit to asking for others to report a player.

LOL hello? trust me bud I have had over 10 banned accounts and have played this game since season 2. Think im going to know over silver player that plays casually. That and personally knowing people who hardly talk in chat and have gotten banned due to just toxic people holding grudges and spam reporting.

Think about it context doesn't matter at all its why they only show your chat not the entire thing. I got banned for defending myself without even being toxic. All that matters is that the toxic players ganged up and reported.

There have also been times where I probably should have been banned but only 1 person cared to report me so nothing came up. Ive been around the block multiple times this shit is down for me lol or ask tarzaned

This system is dumb, it just promotes the ban of the one that is the most disliked in the team, or even banning people like me who aren't even toxic because I said the word. This accomplish pretty much nothing except degrade me to honor 0.

In real life if people attack you you can actually fight back in riots world if someone attacks you you better not say anything or you are the one at fault instead! I've also the problem that when banning someone, you expect them to change, but my behavior won't change at all between the beginning and the end of my ban, only that when flamers will use racial slurs, I will use "Don't say this word"... the ban was useless and a pure waste of time for me, since I do not need to reform.

I down voted you because you are incorrect. If you're reported by one, your game is flagged for review. That doesn't change with more reports. You are not more likely to be punished if more players report you.

There is no way for a player to know how many players reported another player.

Well one day I was feeding quite hard, and both the enemy and my team wanted to report me (they were insulting me really hard), but I didn't end up with any ban of the sort.

My friend did tell me his story about playing badly and getting 4 report from team and ending up with a warning. Maybe he forgot some details, dunno

I can understand that they would tell me not to use certain word in regardless of the case, but having someone calling me toxic because I was trying to defend my friend and explain to flamers they shouldn't use certain words is a no.

I would say repeating racial slurs multiple times by your own admission to be toxic. Having the need to respond to the other players is your own lack of self control.

You don't also care about what happened in the chat, exactly like the support. Hostile. Why would I be toxic? Because I try to clarify to two flamers they shouldn't use certain words? This is literally the opposite of toxic. Additionally, it is not a "need" to respond to flamers; I answered to them because I don't really like having to report everyone and bans can be painful. I see what you were trying to do, just remember, it's a bot that screens these reports. If you have any flagged words in your log, you'll get punished regardless of context. Protect yourself.

A question though: Does anyone know if the 4-step ever resets? My account is on the brink of danger. I'm not toxic so I know I won't be banned for insulting people who feeds/trolls etc (I feed myself sometimes) but in this situation I wasn't really expecting it. I had 2 chat strikes before:

1st one kidna deserved, after the jungler puporsely refused to help my lane (despite being right beside of it) because of my pick, I went afk and didn't want to play the game anymore. I learned I shouldn't go afk like this, and I can just report next time. I've never went AFK again after.

2nd one had a support who outright was refusing to play because once again my pick, I was getting mad and cussing on my own (Not insulting anyone). I asked the support and they said that this is also bannable.

And now I get this... so does anyone know if it ever resets? I don't know if I'll make another mistake (I hope not and I will try to not) and wouldn't want to get perma banned next time because I say Hi to someone.

It slowly goes back down to a 10 game chat restriction (there is no exact time frame) as you continually have games that are showing signs of reform.

It will take a while to get back to a 10 game chat restriction just a fair warning.

  3. Someone took ADC for me, so I went Cho support, but forgetting the support item, I stole a bit of farm until I could buy it.

You literally just ignored what I said lol I was put ADC but I was distracted and thought I was mid so I went cho My support took an adc at least (Teemo) so I could go support, and he also agreed for me to take some farm early and didn't mind (It was 350 gold...) so I could get my support item since I forgot it. Again, I thought I was mid, so I used midlane starter item, not having any income source. Different playstyle =/= trolling. Just remember that.

And yes, I did try to annoy them in a sense, especially due to how they were bombarding swears at me, I wanted to make them understand it doesn't work on me. Agreed on it, I should tame myself and mute them simply next time xD But then again, I had no intention of tilting everyone, only the one that were flaming me, and everything I said was redirected to them (Just like how they were insulting me)

If it looks like you're trolling, read like you're trolling, you were probably a troll that game. Hence ban deserved.

I also fail to see why being normal game would make any difference to your toxicity being punished.
