Summoner Names & Account Enforcement

I literally just changed my name from Auspicious to this so I'd be able to enforce myself to be positive after receiving a punishment, which I just now decided to check all of my previous names. The name "Auspicious" has been replaced with a Level 1 account 0/88 experience. With all of these idle accounts I feel like the use of generic and original names should be kept that, original, not something people are rushing to get and steal from people with an account they made in 20 seconds. What defines are summoner is what our summoner should be, and I doubt a summoner that doesn't play any games is considered to be favorable of success. I'd love this to be seen and talked about, because their are just so many accounts that take away the originality of newcomers, I'm not asking for my old summoner name back, I just think that this madness should be moderated in some way or another.

I'm not sure I get it. Are you asking that your old names get locked away even after you give it up, because you don't want anyone else to ever have it?

As for your previous summoner name, Auspicious, it's just as you said it was; generic. Any Tom, Dick, or Harry can open a dictionary and pick a word. I don't see many people even use "original names." Most are short sentences, champion names (I don't deny anything,) other, for the lack of a better word, franchise's character names, or their own name. None-the-less, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

If it matters, after a certain period of time of the account being inactive, the name becomes available through the name change system. Here's the FAQ for it.

I'm pretty sure that's how I was able to get my name changed to Gakupo, by the account with the name being inactive lmao
