Chat restriction for flaming a troll?

I was chat restricted without any chat logs after a game where my mao kai was half hp and got killed by eve in the river, he proceeded to start spam pinging me asking why i left him behind when i was a sivir who had 3k gold while he wanted to do scuttle after drag. I told him that i was going to clear wave at tower and if he wasnt gonna help me he shouldnt have been in the river and shouldve contested mid with the team. I said he was just a dragon bot and the fact that he died 5 times in the past 3 minutes shows that he should not be lecturing me on my playstyle and decision making. He then told me "then watch me throw this game jackass" and then for the next 20m he afk farmed and stayed on the opposite side of the map as the team. We bumped heads i muted him, and then after the game he says im the one who flamed first and acts like a completely different person and playing victim. I got muted but he did, he was toxic, i just said the word fuck too much. You know your system is broken when you restrict players over curse words on the internet on what i presume is a E for everyone game. rather than restricting players who are attempting to intentionally throw games, which isnt only hurting my rank, its hurting the other 3 people on the team. Is it debatable? I cant find a single popular game that has such a fragile system that it bans people over simple curse words rather than shitty attitudes and mindsets. Ive seen people int 20 games in a row and spam the N word in chat and still not get banned but i get banned for saying fuck.

Never heard of a chat restriction without provided logs. Can you try logging in and screenshot what you see?

But as to the validity of restricting somebody for flaming a troll, working as intended. Flaming is flaming, no matter the target. If they truly were a troll, by flaming them you feed and encourage their trolling, which actively rewards them AND makes the community worse as a whole. If you misread the situation, then you just flamed somebody for no good reason. Either way, poor use of chat. In the future, mute, report, and move on.

Very unlikely. There's no rules against swearing in game. There is however rules against harassment or constant negative chat.
