Can troll picking be bannable already?

Im not talking about shit like Taric top that can be useful due to his flexible ult and tank stats that allow him to be a great front line who still can put out some DPS. But when someone doesnt swap with you cause you got autofilled to support in a pre 30 normal pick game, locking in elise support last second should outright be bannable. She has a horrible winrate IN THE JUNGLE, WHICH IS HER MAIN ROLE. So putting her in support is just gonna make that shit even worse. Can this please be punishable? Its frustrating to play with and tilts the team before the game even starts

Elise support is offmeta. It becomes troll if he isnt playing to win with it.

Honestly, I'm surprised more people don't try to make Elise support work. She's got ranged poke, engage, CC, chase/escape potential, etc. I feel like there's something there.

Can't comment on the individual that OP encountered, though.

I want you to think about what you are asking for.

You are asking that Riot predetermine what is ALLOWED to be played. So even if you have figured out some super awesome off meta strat, you cannot do it. Even if you have found something you really honestly enjoy, you cannot do it.

That would be absurd to say the least. I'm not saying people won't pick troll picks, but limiting the players choice would make the game feel stale and restrictive.

No just no. Not allowing champs in certain roles is a terrible idea that would destroy this game. Trundle used to be a troll pick support so was Morgana back in the day, and yet today they are actually both quite viable.

There really is no such thing as troll picking, just gameplay trolling, which you won't know until you get ingame and play.

Support Elise was actually big in korea for a short time frame and no it will never be bannable because then we have to define troll pick.

Had a support summoner 11 Ezreal last night. Ill just say it didnt end well. Norms idc but its hard to climb when you get this kind of shit on your team Constantly... #silverlyfe

I had a game where I ended up playing Ivern as a Traditional Botlane Support since my teammates intentionally banned my intended pick. Through out the match, I was constantly picked on for choosing to play Ivern Support. Yet despite all that, I ended up going 0/0/11 & I was honored for being Tilt Proof at the post-game screen.

The bottom line, there is absolutely nothing wrong with going off meta. Going off-meta can be a breath of fresh air & can keep the game from feeling boring. So long as you intend to WIN that match, off-meta picks are acceptable. Now if you go something like Master Yi Bot & then run it down mid like a madman, THAT is considered trolling & should be punishable.
