@Tantram Are the in-client reform cards not clear enough?

I've seen a lot of people complaining that they didn't know they were on the last warning or that they felt like they didn't get any warning. Is this a problem you guys feel needs to be addressed? Or is this just the vocal minority trying to argue that they didn't break "the law" because they were ignorant of it?

That is absolute nonsense.

I was perma-banned in early S2 and I received no "final warning"... however I am not an idiot, I knew that what I was doing was wrong because I was being punished. I was not surprised when I got perma-banned, I was angry but not surprised. Anyone that claims that they were "unaware" of why they were perma-banned is lying.

If you put up a sign that says "Don't stab other people in the eyeball" and people continually do it, making a bigger sign is not going to change anything.

Problem is that people think they will get perma banned and only if they used some type or word and go really mad or angry. Nobody thinks they will just because they escalated the chat restric 14 day and perma ban, nobody knows until it is done. Most of us are playing the game, not reading the forum, so we dont know that the process is this one. They need to make it clear to people and stop perma banning years of work for almost nothing jsut because it's a 1 2 3 step that nobody even knows.

No, it's not a problem. It's just those troublemakers being dumb.

I forget what the reform card says, but on the email it only mentions it on the last sentence all the way at the bottom.

Just to show you how many lines someone would need to read through (don't bother to read it, just scroll down):

Very Toxic Jinx,

You have received a 14 day ban following an extensive audit of in-game behavior within recent League of Legends matches.

Your peers judged your behavior to be far below the standards of the League of Legends community. Think through the conversation and reflect on your words. League is an intense, competitive game, but every player deserves respect. Read more about the effort to encourage sportsmanlike play, here.

Here are some chat logs that were identified as negative by other players in the community.

>This type of behavior is unacceptable in this community. When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. As a community, we also don't believe that retaliation is an appropriate response, so in cases where there is retaliation, both players receive penalties. This is the only warning this account will receive.

And then

>**Further examples of toxic behavior can result in permanent closure of your account.**

You really expect people to notice that sentence, Riot? Really? Even the way it's formatted on the email, it's easy to miss that entire paragraph. There's nothing special distinguishing it from the other text.

the main problem i see with the current system. is that borderline players know they're breaking the rules. but not which one they're breaking. as the summoners code is very vague, and outside of hatespeech and intentional feeding. most players dont know whether what they say is punishable until its too late. and when they ask "what did i do wrong" they either get ignored by riot or given wishy washy answers. many players want to reform. but dont know what rule they're breaking and theres actually a running conspiracy that riot doesnt want players to know what they did wrong. so they're less likely to quit when they find out its something they dont agree with
