Why is banning a highlighed champ punishable?

I get it, banning a highlighted champ is a way to tilt your team, however there are certain circumstances where banning gives you the best chances at winning. If lets say you do super bad vs 1 or 2 champs, so you auto ban them to give you the best chances of winning, why are you punished? Why punish you because u dont want to risk going against yas mid, because bot has Yas highlighted and is the last one to pick?

It's not? You are free to ban whatever champs you want.

You don't get punished for banning teammate's highlighted picks alone.

Alone, it won't punish you. It can contribute to a griefing punishment though.

I am not sure it´s punishable but from my perspective of what you wrote you wish to ensure your own fun even if it means screwing your teammates chance at having his/hers fun over.

Kinda selfish?

When im playing on my smurfs i dont care what people play , i usually ban nothing. But on my main , for example if last pick wants to play ryze and nobody wants to trade with him, i will ban ryze because its high chance to go to enemy team and playing againts him is nightmare.

People have argued for a long time that it should be punishable, because as of right now, it is not punishable. I hope it never will be.
