Why is champion select trolling still a thing?

Its pretty simple, because riot won't implement vote kick or even a report system that allows you to report players in champ select for doing ridiculously toxic things. I had a zed in my last game, that 3 times in a row said "Im mid" and instalocked a champion, it didn't matter whether or not mid was called or not, he did it. He forced 3 people to dodge (i was on his team in champ select 3 times in a row unforutnately) and the third game he instalocked zed, simply because that was the champion that i picked the previous champion select, before he forced a person to dodge. He went mid, fed of course (its not like these people could at least carry you after instalocking) we eventually won the game because the enemy team had an afk rengar (whom i reported for negative attitude and afk afterwards) and that was it. I also reported him, however nothing will be done, want to know why? Because he acted perfectly normal in the game, which means that nothing is going to happen to him. Which means that he can continue to troll and champ select, get what he wants, force people to dodge, and then go in game and act perfectly fine like nothing happened, and continue to be an extremely toxic player just without punishment. We all wanted votekick really bad a while ago. Why are we letting riot get away with not implementing this, keep giving them shit, until they get it done, because this is absolutely unacceptable. Also, a big negative I've heard is "4 man can just kick u for not going where you want them to go" But honestly ask yourself this, first off, if they kick you for that you wouldn't want to play with them anyways, and second, imo getting rid of EVERY CHAMPION SELECT TROLL EVER FOR ALL TIME is worth this. Also another argument is if you are playing an off meta champ your team can kick you, I'm going to use the same argument for the last one, which is if they are gonna kick you for that, you won't want to play with them anyways. UPDATE: Guess what, Just got into another game, another champs select troll , guess which champ, thats right, fucking zed, im actually done.

No vote kick will come for obvious abuse reasons. The new queue will eventually be here which will likely reduce these kinds of issues, wait for that and see how things go.

You see, they wont introduce it cause of ignorant people like you. You want to kick people that arent breaking any rule. Everyone is allowed to pick any champion they want and go wherever they want. Meta is not rule. Champion select cannot be trolled, as nothing that you clasify as "troll" is against rules. Thats your problem, you think every game has troll in champion select, but they are actually just breaking rules that exist in your head.

How so?

Someone calls mid and instalocks. You initiate a vote to kick him. I vote no. Vote fails. What now?

The problem here is that not everyone has the same idea of what should happen in champ select. SOME people think everyone can do whatever they want. SOME people think you should not be able to take a lane if someone else takes it first. SOME people think that you must play an appropriate champion for your lane. SOME people think that you must play a champion who is popular/powerful in the current meta. SOME people think that being duo queue gives you priority over everyone else.

When multiple types of people join the same champion select, it creates tension but that tension can be overcome through communication and compromise. Do you really want people to use votekick as their primary solution for dealing with people who play the game differently than they do? Should we really encourage people to expect that everyone in champ select with them has to feel the same way that they do?

People like me will probably get kicked a lot because we want to play Yorick Nasus Volibear Udyr Trundle MonkeyKing Warwick None of em are meta, but they can counter a lot of meta champs

Korillo's right about how abusable it is. I get it, you're salty you got some trolls, we all get em. So just report them and watch em get banned. No need to punish us who pick non-meta champs
