i try to play a normal game i really try but 2 people steal my lane then start calling me trash for not being able to play the other role, they start flaming me for being bad so i start flaming back, they were obviously a duo since they all just started reporting me for flaming them. next match i get another person stealing my lane (yeah the depts of bronze i figure more elos have it tho) i get tired of this happening so i decide to camp in fountain hoping my game would end (15 minutes later i have a 2 week ban) thanks riot.

i also found out that if you leave the game you wait 5 minutes instead of 2 weeks silly me or killing yourself but some might disagree since you guys cant read the comments and think this is a shit post i dont care that im banned i just want the people who act like those youtube pranksters ''just a prank bro'' also banned and gone so when i come back i dont have to /mute full every single match

i keep editing this but by now i think riot just has a huge dildo up their ass and follow the ways of the femenists

also i spend 0.00 on this game and i will keep it that way, i was wanting to buy skins or champions to stop the mindless farming for IP but im not delusional to buy some pixels to make my feeding look better like some of you

one of the matches was draft but someone wasnt happy with support so stole my lane the other was norms because if they steal my lane anyways why should i bother waiting longer for the same results

Nope. The system only cares about the first report -- nothing else really matters at all. One report is the equivalent of nine reports, specifically to stop this sort of ganging up on a player.

Code should be self documenting. If it needs comments, you didn't write clean code. That is my official stance.

There can be exceptions.

While the majority of code can be self-documenting, basic descriptions may be useful in certain situations.

I've needed to insert comments when using an algorithm (i.e. Haversine formula) or extending the functionality of an existing Java class (i.e. Extending Java's SimpleDateFormat class to strictly validate dates).

Ideally your memory footprint isn't a constraint and moving those types of operations to a calculator or library is optimal. In that case, the logic is entirely self contained and the class/file names are annotating the usage.

Entending SImpleDateFormat? Let's just all agree to use milliseconds.

I was just using it to sort locations by their distance from the user (since I had their latitude and longitude).

It wasn't necessarily complex, but the clarification would be useful for anyone else who needed the same functionality.

Sadly, we have to work within the constraints we are given.

I wanted February 40th to be considered invalid rather than parsed as March 12th and my options were limited.

Annoyingly, SimpleDateFormat's "strict" parsing isn't actually strict.

Since this comes up a lot in-game and on the boards, would it be possible if during the honour update to also have a /devblog or something (with such things as the above included) being build into the client? This would of course include the escalation system steps.

I understand that point but still shocked riot doesn't add for feed back when a user gets reported.. or some thing. I think I just got reported last game cause our Thresh literally afk trolled our team tilting it and cost us the game.

team is demanding I get reported cause its like 5 people shoving mid.. team got aced so i'm suppose to 1v5 the enemy team? no I kept split pushing and just accepted the loss.

Why don't you disable reporting the player again if someone already reported him this game.

Make it a pop-up notice like:

"This player has already been reported"

or something. Would stop people from thinking that they will get banned for sure if 4 premades report them

Two possible reasons for not disabling reporting if someone has already reported him:

Second person might want to report him for different thing
Second opinion might give different view/details about the situation for possible manual review. Edit: Yes, some people write on the details box, occasionally even hitting the max char limit.

Hey this might be a liiiiittle bit off topic, but is there any chance a player gets their punishment lowered when they show signs of reforming? I mean if you have been punished twice can the account still go back to the state of a new account? Or does he keep the punishment tier forever? If no can you tell me some raw values on how long it takes to get back to the reformed/clean state?

Hope you're still around. I'd like to know if the average time to decay one punishment tier is different per tier, as in, does it take longer to go from just being 14 day banned down to the 25 chat than it does to go from a 10 game chat restriction down to a clean status?

More severe behavior and behavior histories take longer to get to a clean slate than a less egregious/persistent behavior.

You can drop tiers, and you can get your account into the same state as an account that has never been punished. When I say 'clean slate', I mean the account is the same as any other player that has never been penalized, or a new account.

on average, 3 months of gameplay to drop a punishment tier.

If you play alot, it'll take less time, if you just play 1 game / month, it'll probably take you years to drop a punishment tier.

it's mainly done by a bot. it knows how to understand context and has the ability to filter out false reports.

im not saying it fucked up on me but how would a bot receive context in a sentence or distinguish friendly banter from actual hate speech, i deleted league since i cant do anything for 2 weeks on my NA account (where i mainly play the others arent anywhere near lvl 30), i never said it fucked up on me and it banned me on accident cause it sucked, i use alot of profanity but how is that bannable since there is a censorship option? and dont forget the muting option, and i found my new solution /mute full so you dont listen to anything or anyone and if someone steals your lane feed the enemy laner in a passive way so no one knows your doing it intentionaly so they get the best game of their lives being able to 1v5 without sweating

...would actually suffice, the comparison operator is superfluous, each non-zero value evaluates to boolean TRUE (At least in most C derivates) ;-)

Don't let them steal your lane. If you're top, and they say they are going top, now you have a duo top. Sure, it will ruin the game, but at least the the lane thief has to play out the terrible game as well and doesn't get what they want. If they want to screw up the game, you make them play it out and have the least amount of fun as possible. Then you report them afterwards.

do you get how annoying it is playing multiple matches that are ruined since the start because another fuck tries to steal your lane? i stay in my lane but if i get multiple matches of people doing this i just give up try to play 4 matches in a row with another person in your toplane or mid or someone in your jungle stealing everything if thats how league is meant to be played then i have no more interest in this game, it also happened in my ranked games where support tried to steal top or he would run down mid multiple times. also i dont want to waste 20+ minutes in my game doing jackshit and wasting my time on multiple occasions to report 1 fuck then having it happen again im not here to clean this game im here to play it
