im perma banned but a perma ban out of nowhere seems a bit weird why isnt it a perma chat ban or a year no account acces or something permanent for a little profanity seems extremely weird and out of place if i was all chat shouting to everyone about how they suck dick i would understand but just a little profanity because you're angry gets you banned forever? id take the month ban anyday or 2 or 3 but perma ban for just a little profanity? and i already know half the population of this game is gonna be like ''uhh toxic shit u deserve ban cause u toxic REEE!!!'' and shout all you want but its still unfair how you get permanently banned for profanity while people do worse and get away with it none of the chat i used was in all chat or over the top.

also i dont believe the % of bans is true since i hear people complain about such posts daily and about that once someone has violated a rule he wont do it again but many people have had alot of bans and i know a few people who have another account that perma banned. and i have a feeling you guys get smart and make people pay to get rid of bans since alot of people are banned even thought you dont admit it.

thats where you're wrong i know its not close to 100% maybe its around 50% ish but its not under 1% or that number they all may not be active readers but they still occasionaly read the bord when it benefits them or when they have a question etc.

i have a feeling you guys get smart and make people pay to get rid of bans since alot of people are banned even thought you dont admit it.

How does this make sense? It's the opposite of this. Removing toxic people from the community means more people enjoy their gaming experience, because they aren't exposed to harassment. When people are perma-banned, they are removed from the community. We don't want them making new accounts. We don't want their money.

and yet they do so why not profit off them simple bussiness money has no owner or name and you ahve alot of toxic people ingame who dont get punished but thats on you ''we dont want their money'' seems like a poor excuse so you can have a good name so people feel safe but in the end its still money you're earning. now that i thinka bout it you may actually make more profit of them making new accounts because they buy accounts and buy skins or champions mostly and then you have the streamers but thats a different story they get the special treatment. oh and i know buying accounts is bannable but truly how do you track them? you also have the constant wave of bots in aram and co op vs ai but that also another issue also what about the other players that are toxic but dont get banned how would you come to ban them if your system doesnt pick them up? because your ai might pick up people but is it flawless? because in many matches i have toxic people in alot of matches but they get away with it how do you plan on stopping that? do you understand how many people are toxic in this game but get away with it? do you understand how many people are screaming at others in this game for any mistake feeding or how many people tilt the other for no obvious reason or intent also have you seen the bullshit that gets through or do you not get to see it?and you have the normal people who ofcourse keep complaining of getting rid of toxic people while inmatch they do the exact same

cos you end up loosing more with the toxics around.

1 toxic may spend a few bucks every 6 months (assumed period of play before they get banned again), where as they would have affected 600 games (assuming 100 games / month), which is 2,400 players. If only 10% of those players pay a small buck in those 6 months, it'll be 240x of what the toxic spent.

If the toxic experience is so bad, then Riot would have lost 240x the revenue cos they catered to a toxic.

You are absolutely correct, there are MULTIPLE polls that have been taken on a number of sites all with response rates of 10k-50k players and on average its about 40% of people have received a chat ban with ~10% of active players (people who play at least a few hours a week) being perm banned.

Every poll you take outside of league is going to be a representation of the types of players that visit the site for the poll who also happen to play league. Not a representation of all players who play league.

Should be fairly common sense, a person made poll doesn't really have any agenda nor do the people answering it. Riot on the other hand has a very obvious agenda. I mean if you really believe those BS stats they give you, you lack some serious common sense and brain power. The people that post in this forum alone are a higher %.

As a statistician the idea that people would think a poll like that even provides something close to something that once saw the second cousin once removed of useful data makes me feel that we have utterly failed in educating the public.

Beyond the fact that the sampling frame is wildly unrepresentative of the population it completely ignores response bias since the majority of players (who are never penalized or banned) are completely uninterested in polls on the subject.

My friends list has like 100 people on it and I don't know of one that has been banned. It's the people you associate with. Also, do you have a link to one of these polls?

i have 200+ friends in my list and i know atleast 6 who were perma banned and made another account, i also have a real life friend who has 2 accounts perma banned and another who just has 1 perma banned. and i dont have the link to them.

what mindset? understanding that its a game and playing to win and trying to have fun while someone is deliberatly trying to feed or just tilt you is so much fun wasting 30~ minutes having no fun and you cant leave or you get punished while they are having the moments of their lives seems like so much fun ill just accept it and mute them! that'll teach him!!

Just curious, how would you know if someone's been banned or just lost interest in the game for the moment? Unless you have access to the contact information of every person on your friend list, how're you going to ask them? There'd have to be another way to find out, right?

they made another account and added me again since we frequently duo Q and we are in the same clan with the same clan tag, more of my friends mightve been banned or just quit over that i have no controll of knowing.
