@Riot: I want you to look at this idea OverWatch is implementing

Honestly, this does sound like a good idea. Maybe you guys can implement this too, or design something based off of this?

They're counting on the placebo effect making it feel as though something is happening, when really nothing of substance is being accomplished.

Avoiding two teammates at any time is basically a useless feature. Avoiding them for only 7 days is basically a useless feature.

The reason that those limitations are in place in the OW test is to prevent the rampant abuse that would happen. This feature will not really help players avoid toxicity at all - Overwatch needs to focus on reducing toxicity. Their rules are too lax - as they say in the video, it's possible to get frustrated at a player but not have their behavior be against the rules. The developer then goes on to say that repeatedly goading you to change teammates/etc is somehow not harassment?

Overwatch's problem is lax rules and lax moderation, and this is going to do jack shit to help them reduce toxicity.

Well unless your plat+ in rank i dont know how likely this would ever apply. but it could be nice for those players i guess. so maybe a good idea.

This would never work in league

Why is this even a thing.

I rarely get the same players in multiple games. It has happened before though.

I think if it were to work in high ranked matches, it would need to be a self punishment of sorts. Like 11 people are in queue, but you don't get matched because you blocked some one in the match.
