I have some idea of Helping improve behavior reward and punishment system

I know this may not be really the right board, but if it is not, do not delete it. You can move it, you know that pretty well. But I think it is relevant.

PS. I am not doing this, because I want justice for myself, the chat log from game 1 was my words and clearly - flame. I agree. But go further.

Currently, I think that the system is mistaken in some way, which I will prove here:

  1. The system punishes some players unfairly. Example: You are a player that usually is fair and does not flame, you are excellent at being silent in chat. BUT a team that flames you all time in game and ping-spams you. You cannot mute pings (sorry Riot, but your logic is false here). Then you are trying to play. You die few times, and they continue flame you. They do not get ANY restrictions, but you, are getting a 14-day account compromise (ban). On that I cannot agree.

  2. System punishes you for small things. Example: You say "fuck" one time, or you say "mother" (or any family member) even if not necessarily meant to be a flame. Ban.

  3. Rioters only include your chat logs. Example:

  1. Most times when a player flames 3 times in a row, they do not get restrictions. Here I cannot really give an example, but you can give it yourselves with you. Fix: Flaming comes probably due to having a bad day, or person's general everyday behavior, you all know this. The thing here is, do not punish them immediately, but watch their next 20 (50 if before a 14-day ban, 100 if before a permanent one) games.

  2. Rioters removed warnings when you get reported. You must be warned before getting restriction, other than that, not fair. Fix: Re-add warnings back.

  3. There the report buttons can be abused, just by the noobs, with no reason, like intentionally feeding, "misconduct" (a false report). Fix: Expose those noobs/liars/mean players to restrictions themselves and forbid them use the report function for the next 20/50/100/all future games (cannot descend ladder). Restriction they get with all future games report function restriction is permanent Low-Priority and Ranked Restriction and Chat Restriction. If they also play bad - ban by IP address, from Support.RiotGames.COM; PVP.NET and the game (you never did that, but now you must). Noobs must learn. Or better - send them to court. They deserve it, since they bring nothing good to this Earth. Except a place where Bronzes can play (not all bronzes are bad, note that in mind, some like me and some of my friends are struck because of these players). I cannot lose when I am 22/8/8 with Kassadin. Sorry, this had to be written.

  4. Rework some of your champions' models, which cause this behavior: Yasuo / Zed etc. Also please... Lux. All Lux players laugh all the time, that is annoying.

That is pretty much it, please do not delete this topic, took me a lot of time to explain my thoughts. If someone (dis)agrees, write down below - Why do you agree/disagree?

There is so much wrong in this post im not sure where to begin, so i guess ill just go to the beginning!

  1. Your first point makes no sense. First off you can mute ping, or at the very least lower the sound of the ping noise. There is no way Riot would flat out take away a function in the game as a means to communicate, when they already do that to chat. Yes it sucks when people Spam ping/emotes, but Riot clearly stated that it is a punishable offense when you report someone for it. You dont seem to understand that everyone is basically on different terms of punishment. Someone who flames once in a blue moon isnt going to face punishment because Riot understands people have bad games. This could be their one game. If you are constantly flaming you will get punished whether its a chat restriction or if they continue they will go up in the tiers of punishment. With that said im not sure how you think the ban system works because going by your first point alone this person has no reason to be punished let alone go off on a 2 week ban for a first offense. That is only reserved for severely toxic people, or trolls. Unless you have evidence to back up your claim that Riot falsely bans people, i would like to see it!

  2. Again clearly you have no idea how the system works. Swearing itself isnt punishable. there is a huge difference between "Fuck I messed up" and "How fucking stupid are you" both uses the curse word, but only one is using it in a punishable way. People swear all the time in the game, and again Rioters even stated swearing is ok as long as you arent using it incorrectly (like harassing someone).

  3. This gets brought up all the time. The main reason why they only show your chatlogs is because you are the one being punished. What exactly does showing your other teammates chatlogs going to prove? In any case it would only show who started it, but that is a childish mentality to have that. While someone might have stated it, you could have ended it right then and there by muting said person. You decided not to and instead prolong the toxic nature of the game, and now instead of your other teammates dealing with one person being toxic in chat, they have to deal with two people. Be the better person.

  4. makes no sense, and its basically giving people who break the rules more chances to do it.

  5. Is possibly the only thing i agree with. heck i didnt even realize the stop it till recently when people (i can only assume) stated on these boards that they were not given warning. But even with that said Do you really need to be warn about something you are purposely doing? I mean it should be common knowledge what is/isnt acceptable to say to another person. If you are wishing death to someone just because they are doing poorly, do you need to be told "Hey thats not right", If you are purposely losing a game do you need to be told to stop? A warning is a nice gesture for the company, but at the end of the day if majority of these people who break the rules arent going to even acknowledge it and change, why even bother?

  6. Sure the report button can be abused, but then again this is the reason why one of the rules isnt to ask for reports. Only one report is needed to have someone reviewed, having multiple people report one person isnt going to help, so why bother asking? In the case of toxic chat, its pretty obvious like if someone rarely talks in chat, how exactly would you abuse it since the system needs to see evidence (the chat) in order to punish. If it doesnt then it cant know who to punish. With trolls its a different story. Its much more difficult to find, hence why they first punishment for it is a 2 week ban. its harsher because they dont want to punish someone for having one bad game. But again like with other punishment there needs to be consistency.

agree with the guy above except for the #5 You should not be warned about a possible punishment, as that in and of itself is a punishment. Thats just adding another layer to the 4 tier system
