I just watched a game on YouTube and at the end the player false reported another

How can this happen? How can you be so blind that you willingly false report someone for negative attitude and abusive chat when they didn't talk through the entire game?!?! What about reporting them for leaving the game/afk when they clearly didn't?! How can you be so blind to do it on stream and then post it to youtube?

Also, how can we, as players, combat this??? How can we report this kind of behavior that we see on streams/videos? I know it's against forums policy to bring up names but this is not okay.

We don't need to, that streamer is wasting their time. The system doesn't just take reports at face value, it tries to verify them. If they didn't talk, then there's an empty chat log for the system to read, and that'd be fine.

Tyler1, on stream, publicly, in front of thousands of people, loudly and clearly proclaims that he is going to int, proceeds to int, and gets punished by getting invited to official Riot events.

That should give you some concept where content creators fall in terms of what behavioral standards are applied to them.

Sadly this is just the common petty attitude I encounter when I get on- stream or no stream

As long as the person who got reported did not display any type of negativity (such as whining, begging to FF, berating other players, etc) that report will be tossed out as garbage. Only validated reports do anything.

Saying that false positives exist is not the same as saying they happen regularly. Having been on the old forums and now the boards, I've seen very few false bans.

Now, if you want to say that people claim to be falsely punished, yeah. That does happen all the time. Most of those, the player is either lying, trying to shift blame, or is new and doesn't understand the system.
