"You Must Be Low Elo, For You To Be..." (Disclaimer: Rant Post)
No matter how players end this sentence, it always gets a chuckle out of me. I'm just sitting there wondering how my low rank automatically makes me trash at the game. I mean, yes, there are things in the game I do not know and/or understand. And, yes, I may not actually get these things down to a "T" anytime soon. But, how does that automatically make me trash?
Like, why is it that High Elo Plat players (not even really high elo, especially when only at Platinum 4-5, yet they consider themselves to be so) feel like they all of a sudden have a right to talk down on the players beneath them? Like, weren't you just at my level, at some point? Some of them, like, not even that long ago?
I just don't understand players who do this. Instead of flaming literally every player in the game for not being "oh my God, Challenger", why not actually provide people with the means to climb beyond where they are? I don't understand why this game can't seem to have a sportsmanlike community where everyone helps everyone out, even if only a little. I swear, people need to just lose the ego, already.
To make matters worse, I hear this more often in Normals than I do in Ranked. Like, if it were Ranked, I'd understand. I'd still be irritated by it, but at least, to some extent, I'd understand. But Normals, though? NORMALS, THOUGH? I just...I can't even right now.
