Problem number one: That's worse than making an insult using any term referring to autism. Number 2: You just don't know how to counter the champion, or know how they work. I mean even can be crushed with relative ease if you know the way. Number 3: You're so angry that you have to flame your opponent for doing well? Well I am sorry, but my job as your opponent is to make sure I win and you don't. That goes with any other game or sport.

That said, I think this should qualify as reportable.

1: He is referring to your champion, not you. It's your own problem that you get insulted by that.

2: Yi is a really hard champion to play in high elo, he isn't braindead. Maokai is braindead for example. Braindead doesn't mean that "I don't know how to counter him" it's more so "this champion is literally idiot proof".

3: It's not that people ar mad, it's that idiot proof / braindead champions are frustrating to play against.

"Good freaking Job on hitting that polymorph Lulu, you must be really good at your champion.... oh wait you are autofilled, haha"

And since it is not aimed towards you but rather the champion you are playing, it should not be qualified as reportable.

In what Dunkey calls "real like League" (the exact opposite of professional play), You gets slammed on a lot because he is very powerful. What people in my elo don't realize is that stunning him while he ults puts him out of business easily. Sadly, people just whine and complain instead.

At the time of this thread, I finished a game as support Lulu, ending the game with 22 assists (out of 29 team kills). I keep hearing that the champion Lulu and there support are braindead. It takes obvious skill. You don't just sit at the sidelines and occasionally attack an opponent in range. I was unleashing my combo (polymorph, send pix, glittlerlance. This permits damage and a 90% slow, while preventing the target from counterattacking). Then my carry followed up with more attacks, which would require either a heal or a flash to get out of. Gee, that's a lot of planning and activity for a role and champion that are both considered braindead!

No. I constantly hear whining like "why didn't you lick Janna?" "(Censored) you, Lulu." "Play a champion takes takes skill, scrub." This is part of the reason why I think League is declining (or at least isn't as hot as it used to be). People say that crap to them, first of all, and secondly, hearing comments like that are about as common as sunlight (covering the loopholes: unless you live in Alaska in the winter). If you're thinking about joining a game where people whine at each other just for playing the game, wouldn't you be hesitant to pick it up?

And since it is not aimed towards you but rather the champion you are playing, it should not be qualified as reportable.

The statement was only directed at the champion literally, I think what's implied is a bit more obvious than that (it extends to the person playing them). Instead of whining and insulting the player, learn to counter them.

I'm not saying they don't need any skill but their so called "skill cap" is an insult compared to Thresh, Bard, Rakan.

You are playing the easiest champions in your role. Top lane has Maokai for example, Mid lane has Malzahar. Every lane has at least 1 idiot-proof champion. The reason why they are idiot-proof is because they lack counterplay... so no matter what you do, you don't get punished too hard.

Well that is what frustration does. If you play well on let's say Bard then even the enemies will say "Bard is carrying you"

And not "Bard l2p a skill champ scrub" because they very well know that Bard isn't easy.

I use the term "AIDS champion" to describe champs like Kha'Zix or Shaco.

I don't wish AIDS upon the guy that is playing them, just that their champion is AIDS to play against.

Frustrating? Sure. But you're calling it brain dead because you have two point and clicks. For one, Sivir can prevent this by using her spell shield with good reflexes, blocking the polymorph and making Lulu pay for the other two spells in blood. Also, bot is a duo lane, so the other player can do something, yes? Also, if you think a Lulu is walking towards you, back up, send long range spells at her, or something. You complain about counterplay while just accepting your fate when she makes her play.

I will admit Lulu is one of the easier supports to play. That doesn't mean it takes little skill to do. It's one of those things like Tetris, where understanding the rules are easy to do, but mastering the game isn't.

Well then it is frustrating and braindead if you want to put it like that. You have to also see that stuff happens outside of laning phase, an assassin doesn't feel outplayed when you point and click poly onto them while they try to kill the ADC. Lulu isn't the only one here, Tahm does the same in that regard but even easier.

I know how to counter Lulu but a Lulu can also just sit back and cast shield / ult from afar and use poly as soon as something comes near the ADC. That has no counterplay other than "literally brute force through her spells"

Then you are a minority. If the majority of players (and Riot) sees "braindead champion" as an insult to the player then it would already be reportable but it isn't so that means you are a minority in this case.

Is there anything people wont get triggered by in '18? Trashtalk in a competition is to be expected. I get racist remarks all the time if people notice im not from their region. Just deal with it. Words can't actually hurt you. You just decide to be hurt.

The thing is that I take offense to autistic slurs, because I have ADHD myself. If there was something you were sensitive about, would you like me making slurs about it against you? Another thing is that there are so many ways to misbehave and get punished in League. I figured that something like this should make the cut.

Sportsmanship? In a game where the main demographic is 11-20 year old male, with complete online anonymity. i don't think so. But hey, maybe i'm just wrong.

Also, if you ever saw a "real" sports tournament where teams compete against each other the swearing etc is not better at all. Just because you can't see it on TV doesn't mean there's no screaming and shouting going on in the field. And if there were no teachers to supervise school tournaments, oh boy would it go ballistic.

Sportsmanship is easy when you play against friends or you don't care if you win or if you don't. But that is playing for fun not to see who is the better team. And yes there are some examples of sportsmanship in competition but that's often the exception. Not sure where that 99% is coming from. It sure is a nice ideal but it is what it is. An ideal, not the reflection of reality. Which brings me right back to my original point. Grow a skin, stop being offended. You're gonna need it in real life sooner or later. If you take offense from words (online none the less) you should crawl back into the safe space that is your mother's womb.

(This is getting of the rails and is more an addition to my original post to explain my point)

Because we can't change our surroundings. Be it the LoL community or society. Don't be a dick to others, that's what you can do. But there will be people that are going to be dicks to you no. matter. what. If anything, that is what the LoL community can teach you. Outgrow the dicks. They can't change you unless you let them.

Let me tell you a little bit about my experience. I live in a place where western faces are rare. And i work in the service industry. 90% of our customers are from this country. And it ever so often it happens one of these customers doesn't like me being on the other side of the counter. They don't look you in the eyes, don't greed you and seem generally annoyed by your presence. This kind of behaviour is very rude here and mostly reserved for people like me who don't fit the profile. Sure you get angry at first, "all these arrogant ******** think they are so much better". But i can't change them. They already decided i'm not worth the standard treatment. But that's cool with me now. Because i will probably never see any of these people again. And the only thing they can do is make me angry. Unless i decide not to get angry. It is that simple.

Now at my job i have to keep smiling and treat them like the highest kings of course. I guess that kinda helped. But in LoL, you could just be a dick to the guy who offended you and i think that's where most of the hate speech actually comes from. Chain reaction and learned behaviour.

But what if everyone just stopped giving a shite about what the others guy said? What if everyone stopped being offended by words? Banning words and banning people is like a bandade on a stab wound. It will not fix the problem. If the problem comes from humanity itself, you can't fix it, just adapt to it. It's what the community manager and devs can't say.

I remember Jeff Kaplan from the Overwatch team once appealing to the community to be less toxic. I mean, he had the right idea but ultimately, did he really think that would change anything? For a conflict it always needs two. But why has it become such a trend to look at only one side of the problem? Both people, the offender and the offendee(?) created this situation. Why is the finger now** always** pointed and the "bad guy"?

Of course Jeff will never say " Alright guys, this week i want to talk about our community. I think in the years together we have build something great, and i'm happy to be part of this awesome community. But can you please stop being offended by literally every slightly negative word that exist in and outside of the dictionary FFS?"

And why should he? It's not Jeff's task to deal with the communities educational shortcommings. He was just riding the social justice train which is cool for PR i guess. Also why the hell are you still reading this i think i got my point across like three paragraphs ago. If next time someone online asks you to sck his dick, just don't sck his dck.

Well I mean, some champions are simple enough to be considered "brain dead". If you compare the amount of things you need to know to be successful with Master Yi jungle when compared to say Kindred or Lee Sin, is less by a large margin.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with playing the simpler champions like Annie or Garen, they are made to be simple and easy to use for a reason. But yea, I mean, they don't require a lot of thought and deliberation of tactics. He runs in, Q's, turns on true damage, and heals if needed. Not much there to think about.

So don't get mad little buddy, getting your champion called "Brain dead" shouldn't be taken as an insult if you look at how much mechanical skill is required for them. It's kind of true, but said in a trolly way.
