Insta-Bans?

So I've never been chat restricted before in my league of legends life. Today, I've been insta-banned. Never ever had a chat restriction. My other half has had chat restrictions and was warned before, but never banned. So this is a thing now?

A 14-day-ban is a common punishment for behaviour which crosses the line massively (trolling/inting/hate-speech/ZT-words). For a better review I would ask you to post your full and unedited chatlog.

It's not fair if I just post my log, even though the other 4 were being just as toxic and hate-filling as I was, using vulgar language but not spelling it out. Is that the way to avoid trouble, is by not spelling the hateful words out? I know I was called a bad word several times by both teams, and not the common "b" word either.

I was also participating in every single fight as well. Except towards the very last end when the entire team was like, "let them finish" It was my first time on Zyra (EVER) and I went 7/14/9. But the rest of the team was just as negative as I was.

In my opinion it is fair as we only discuss your punishment here and currently it is irrelevant how the others behaved. Of course I don't force you to post your chat-log, but it is always the best option to get honest feedback/explanations. Some and then there have been cases of wrongly given punishments and I wanted to erase the chance that this happened here aswell - but you already admitted to some kind of toxicity and hate.

Yes, it has been a thing for years. If you use zero-tolerance word such as hate speech or extreme toxicity such as death threats and such, you can skip chat restriction and go straight to 14-day.

No death threats, that's horrible. However, I wasn't the only one using extreme toxicity. The enemy Sion was calling my friend and I a vulgar word, that I'd rather not post here but it wasn't the F word, but it did start with an F.

It's also not right that I can only show MY chat log when I should have the entire log to show, "hey I'm not the only one calling names."

This is not a contest about who's more vulgar than who. Just like a bar fight or school fight, everyone who participated get kick out. The Sion started it or more vulgar than you do not excuse your own vulgarity. If you reported him, he get reviewed and if he was toxic, he will get punished. If he (or anyone) reported you, you get reviewed and if you were toxic, you will get punished.

As zPOOPz mentioned, zero-tolerance chat behavior (hate speech, encouragements of self-harm, death threats, etc.) can warrant skipping the first two punishment tiers; all three punishment tiers, even, in the case of death threats.

You're only presented with your chat logs because the punishment is dealt based on your behavior, nobody else's, and that you're supposed to be looking at what about your behavior you should be changing going forward. It doesn't matter if anyone else in the match was also being vulgar or breaking the rules; you participated, and you need to learn not to.

You can consider that unfair, but the fact of the matter is that adding other player's chats on top of yours would be pointless and detrimental to reform.

And, if you're going to try to discuss behavior, you're gonna have to give more explanation than just "not spelling out the hateful words". Just speak plainly; so long as you're not naming and shaming, you can't really do much wrong in holding the discussion.
