Riot has stated several times that gameplay trolling is not acceptable and is currently a high priority issue at the moment. In fact, when gameplay trolling is detected, it is punished with an escalation. As we speak, Tantram is likely dealing with a very large epidemic.

Yes, it's true, the current system is flawed at detecting gameplay trolling and It's easier for the bot to just read the chat logs and punish key phrases. But that doesn't mean that Riot condones trolling.

Riot are working diligently behind the scenes to hopefully fix this issue soon, please, have some patience with them while they figure it out. It's a complicated issue.

In the meantime, let's do the best we can to report these trolls to help Tantram and his bot identify and punish these evil doers. Try not to flame, it will open you up to punishment from the bot if the troll reports you.

Please, don't feed the trolls.

1000000% incorrect, support even told me so. http://prntscr.com/h0kevi The player they told me they could see was "trolling" was never punished (looking at op.gg and match history) and then another game I had a blitz run down mid and I was restricted for promoting a negative atmosphere for typing "9x blitz int ty" and yet that blitz was never punished. This is a load of sewer water and anyone who believes that they care more about game quality than "bad words hurting my emotions" is kidding themselves.

Riot has never actually cared about people ruining the game for others. They only care about people who flame. As long as you arent deemed "toxic" it will be ages before you are punished. There are still people that boost/script/bot/and openly troll and riot has done nothing about even. Even in games where i do nothing but report the people who openly type "im afk" or "im inting", they are allowed to still play days, weeks and months later.

But God have mercy on your account if you even so much as type "you suck" in chat

I started s6 and there have been trolls ever since, and out of 1000 reports (prolly a lot more), maybe I got 2 or 3 feedback popups, not to mention the problem's been there since then and idk about other seasons before. Still get the odd game where 3 people afk, and not cus we're losing or anything. Still get the 'I have to mute all, chat AND pings, cus this is getting out of hand' (I already have all chat muted). Still get the Tahm that 'accidentally' swallows me when I'm trying to fight, then spits me in the middle of the enemies. And a bunch of other random shit that breaks the pattern, but is reportable nonetheless. 2 seasons later (from what I know). Oh, thank you for reinstating hope. And guess what, it's now worse cus the number of bots escalated.
