Greetings Summoner!

We would like to invite you to our Discord community as a friendly place to interact with other Summoners from all regions and look for groups. While not an official Riot server, members of the Volunteer programs are here to engage with the community and are committed to assist where they can; the Arbiters are here to answer any player behavior related questions you might have, such as for chat restrictions and bans.

To join the server hit up the Discord invite link below, and in #register-account use the bot commands to set your region to gain access to your Looking for Group channel for finding players to invite. If you have any questions about player behavior or our Discord, let us know in the comments below or join our server!

How demanding is an Arbiter job? I'm pretty much always on the Boards and I don't think I would be able to do Arbiter work if:

  1. I can't do it from my phone.
  2. I can't keep making memes (clean ones, of course).
  3. It requires any real life involvement or requires me to be on the Boards every hour of the day.

Just wondering, sorry if this is irrelevant.

... you could probably hop on their Discord channel and get a faster response.

Judging by how often most of them show up on posts, it's not too demanding, Nami just takes it to the next level :)

Well, it's not a job since you aren't paid, you just volunteer some time.

Arbiters must be knowledgeable specifically about player behavior systems (like how punishments are handled), so most of the work is just learning everything you can and keeping up to date so all your information is as accurate as possible. The visible portion of what we do is communicating with players on the boards, so we look at active members, and as a pillar of the community we must drive positive and constructive discussion and adhere to the Summoner's Code both on the boards and in game.

You won't be required to not post (I've done plenty of memes and participated in various discussions not related to PB&M), but try to steer clear of hot topic issues that you can't properly address. We have meetings over Discord, so you can do about everything over the phone. We're always open to developing new ways to get the community involved in a positive way, but you don't necessarily have to spearhead a project to contribute :P

You see me post all the time, but that's not a necessity. Just try to help out where people need you :3

So, for example, if there is a Shen nerf on the PBE and I am an Arbiter, would I have to post on a separate account regarding what I think about it?

Deep Terror Nami1 votes

That isn't necessary. You are free to post on another account, such as if you wish to not draw attention away from the thread for having a title (or just being well known, the title of Arbiter only applies on Misc. and PB&M). If you post on an alternate account in order to be a problem, that is something you wouldn't do.

I always tell people the easiest way to become an Arbiter is to be a persistently positive and helpful presence on the board. Trust me, we notice. When a position becomes available, we always have a list of people to approach.

Not sure when it happened and am too lazy to search, but congrats on getting Arbiter!

Looking for some active off-hour players to join the community! If you play during the times most players on your server are not, I invite you to join us so the Looking for Group channels are alive more frequently through the day :D
