Reporting for afk (repost cause i put it in the wrong section my bad :p)

"I kind of have a problem with the report system and the way reporting afk players work. If riot themselves highlight a players name as red then why does that person not get a temp ban automatically? Maybe I'm being to harsh but I think afk players in a later game are the worst and should be punished with no exceptions. What does everyone else think?"

Edit: I saw some valid points in the last time I posted this and wanted to edit my thought. Perhaps I was being a bit rash cause I had just gotten out of a lose from a afk game. Its hard to climb in low Elo (bronze, silver, gold) when you lose a teammates. I know its asking a lot but I wish a loss prevention would save my LP just a bit and if not maybe half the LP lost would be nice. I know there is no perfect way to do it but just a thought.
