Should banning a friendly champ in champ select be reportable?

Kinda said it in the title but yea I get tired of game after gaming showing what champ I'm thinking about and getting the guy telling me, "Hes not meta don't play him."

If they ban your champion you hovered over (such as you selected them showing you intended to play X champion with plenty of time for your team to see), then it is technically reportable under "unsportsmanlike conduct".

Just note in the report that the player banned your pick on purpose due to xyz reasons after selecting them in the pre-game lobby.

Please keep in mind it is best to be very specific when making these reports :) The more information you can give Riot on what happened, the easier it is for them to deal with these players!

I remember XYZ summoning. Crazy shit that was, but definitely an upgrade from Synchro summoning. Some of them tuners were so damn broken it was retarded :(

Holy cow how many more summoning methods do they have now?! I quit Yugioh once XYZ summoning came out (switched to Magic).

The art however has gotten better I've noticed. Some pretty neat stuff.

The card advatafe is overall more powerful because you have more room to deny their plays while they cannot afford their best monster to die or else they are screwed.

I felt bad playing it because I know it's not fun, but I didn't understand pendulum that well when I started playing again and xyz and synchro was winning in the first couple turns anyway, so it was the only counter I knew. And I don't think it would negate it because it's a win condition, not a true "effect". But I could be wrong or it could've changed.

Easiest way to shut down a pendulum deck is to run cards like Bottomless trap hole and the new Space Time Trap hole.

Bottomless will destroy and banish all cards summoned during its activation window, and banish them so the cards cannot come back.

Space time shuffles them all into the deck, so you end up with a card advantage.

Xyz was more broken than synchro in my opinion. At least synchro had more conditions for them to be summoned (except when you get shooting quasar dragon that's basically a few win)

I'm pretty sure it isn't considered unsportmanlike behaviour by the report system since there can easily be valid reasons to ban an ally's pick intent.

The most obvious example would be fifth-pick selecting [OP FotM Champion] even though they will likely be taken long before they have a chance to pick.

If the player who banned it starts taunting you in chat or something, then that is a different matter.

That's why I suggested the person describe what happened in the report :) It would help legitimize the complaint if the other player was purposefully banning whoever people hovered over, since the cases as you explained do exist.

Honestly, I just had a bit of an issue with how the suggestion was worded. It seemed like you were implying that banning a teammate's pick intent was reportable in and of itself.

However, I consider there are two separate issues involved:

Banning a teammate's pick intent [Not Reportable]
Taunting and mocking your teammate(s) [Reportable]

Maybe I just misinterpreted what you were saying though.

No worries. I might have worded it poorly, or perhaps came across wrong. So it's perfectly okay to ask that :)

But I see what you mean and I agree. I was mostly trying to point out that players who ban your pick intent and flame you for it can be reported under that tag, but without writing in the report description what happened, it won't really come across correctly or might be discarded as a false report since banning your pick intent isn't wrong, but taunting a player by threatening to ban their pick is.

I don't think that it should be, especially if someone legit accidentally bans the champion that you wanted. Now obviously it depends on the situation but I think that it would just be easily abused by trolls and salty players who don't like specific champions and/or just want to spite their teammates.
