Best way to communicate you want support to play a damage champion?

I don't play well with tanks or healing supports. It's aggravating getting those and feeling like a loss will surely come. Brand just makes life so much easier cause all he has to do is press R.

What's an effective one-liner or simple statement?

How about asking, "Do you play Brand or Zyra?"

Just ask :D Most of the times, if your support knows how to play those champs, they'll say yes. Just don't force the role onto them, or you might get some weird crap like Ashe supp.

People have different play styles and no one style fits all. You could say in chat sth like "I highly prefer a high damage supp like brand" but that's pretty much it. Or you can also learn to play with different types of supports, if you like damage supports, engage/ tank supports should also be easy to familiarize yourself with, they basically do the same thing but only difference is that you are going for all ins every time they engage. Or you can get a duo that plays the damage supports.

That's the issue. There's no penalty to missing nearly all of your skillshots as long as you hit some.

Ignore that thought you wanted to play it lol misread it

Tank supports are fine though if its like leona/ alistar both deal nice amount of damage early on even though not techincally damage/ mage supports.

Simply tell them "I prefer mage supports" or "Pick a support that does damage" ALthough sounds more like you want a support that can poke. so something like "Pick a support who pokes well"
