Toxicity towards off-meta players.

I play off-meta bot lane a lot (usually taking an AP champ and trying to carry in bot.) Due to champ choice people frequently accuse me of trolling before the game even begins. Because these people can't be bothered to look up statistics (where they exist on the web.) I file reports on these people as they flame especially if they did badly.

If people try to play the meta police by picking an adc, I will more than happily take a loss than trust someone else thus fighting the ADC for CS when I declare my intent to CS well in advance in champ select if prompted.

I feel like it's not my job to type a manifesto of why I want to try something.

I wish people would remember people wouldn't be at (insert rank) if they aren't relatively the same skill as you unless if you're smurfing.

I understand off meta as in not playing a tank or tristana/cait/varus adc. However when you're doing something like nunu bot you kinda gotta expect you're going to be flamed. How would you like it if your jungler picked annie? Extremely off-meta picks are extremely off-meta for a reason; they dont work well, and if you have a good win % its not because those champs do well in that spot, its because you're skill overcompensates for that champ sucking in that lane.

TL;DR expect flame, you're gimping your team unless you are extremely good

Even if it could work if you outperform your enemies in lane and snowball early, if you shouldn't be able to do that you end up in a game without a ADC. When mid game comes and you are not clearly winning the game already you can basically ff if the enemies have a competent bot lane.

It's not about skill level, it's about how the game is balanced and without a ADC you simply lost the moment you fall behind.

Purposely not picking the optimal picks, is obviously gonna piss people off. Especially if you're solo. There's a reason that the meta became the meta and that's because it was found to be the most efficient way to create a team. It isn't against the rules not to follow it though. Just... understand why it pisses people off at least. The meta didn't just magically appear for no reason. You didn't really make any points though, so I don't know what to tell you. Yes people are toxic towards off meta. Understand why, and if you want to still go off meta, be prepared to mute. Don't just do it, and then come on the forums and tell everyone how people are toxic towards off meta players lol. That's just ... obvious. Or do it anyways idc xD
