@Riot, Player Rewards and Punishments: Queing

Ever since I've comeback from my year long hiatus from League I've noticed an excessive amount of que-dodging everyday. During any given que I (and others) can be thrown out and re-qued anywhere from 4-6 times. This is an aggravating experience as a veteran player with years spent in this game, as this increases the time it takes to get into a game longer that it should, reducing both the time I have to play the game and the rewards from those games.

League is not a game you can just start a game up and leave half way through like CoD, it requires that you put a relatively moderate amount of effort into picking and building a character/comp, set aside atleast 45mins to play a game at it's fullest and to wait through these ques until seemingly all players are happy with their roles, get their favored champions, don't have "Random" issues pop up mid Que, ect. It's a time commitment and players should be rewarded for consistently showing up and making that commitment and others should see higher penalties for disrupting ques.

Given the abilities of the new client are much higher than the original, it's hard for me to believe it can't track your Queing consistency: I.E. how many lobbies do you successfully enter and start a game in. So this is my proposal: build a system that tracks players and their queing habits, adding additional rewards to accounts that show a high degree of consistency in starting games and incrementally increasing que penalties for those who constantly leave . The goal being a system that will encourage players to que when they can make the time commitment, reward players who start games, slowly nudge players who have a bad habit of leaving and punishing the worst offenders with high wait times

As a veteran players of 7 years, I can tell you anecdotally dealing with this problem makes playing League unnecessarily irritating, as few things in this game can be as maddening as getting to that last second in the lobby and having someone leave for the third time in a row and knowing you're getting nothing out of this.

Minor nitpick - average game length is below 30 minutes now. The days of slow, strategic 45min+ games with occasional bits of teamfights are gone, replaced with 20ish minute one-sided drubbings because ESPORTS!!!11

adding additional rewards to accounts that show a high degree of consistency in starting games and incrementally increasing que penalties for those who constantly leave .

There's already a leaverbuster penalty applied to people who regularly drop lobbies, but IIRC, it caps out at 20 minutes.

I'd advocate an escalating system where you start out at 5 minutes for dodging, but the time doubles every time you dodge, and doesn't go back down until you successfully complete two games in a row without a dodge.

5m - 10m - 20m - 40m- 1h20m - 2h40m - 5h-20m
