I didnt realize this scam was still going on.

Report it so Riot can lock the account and the owner can recover it at least, they tend to steal accounts for this.
I'm waiting on a bunch of money from a Nigerian prince, and as soon as it shows up I may take that person up on their offer. I hear it's cheap atm.
I doubt it was account boosting (the type you hand over your account for somebody else to play on it). That kind of boosting is pretty defunct nowadays according to Riot because the automated systems in place to detect it are pretty reliable, but most importantly it's obsolete because Riot allows premades in ranked. Why risk your account getting hijacked or banned when you can just pay somebody high level to duo with you and carry your games? There's plenty of people doing that, and there are even actual companies created just to offer this kind of service. All 100% legitimate.
