This arbiter moderation sucks

Leaving locked threads. You tell someone they need to post in the correct subsections but leave the locked thread in the wrong subsection?

Are people getting links and notifications to their locked threads?

I also saw a thread get locked down because of the comments towards the original post. Something tells me arbiters can't remove replies?

We're doing the same thing that the other moderators have always been doing and have the same privileges in PB&M, but we are moving towards more frequently locking threads in the wrong space rather than deleting them if they aren't disruptive and can still be useful; this gives more clarity to the community about the actions we are taking and hopefully will serve as a tool to show players what kind of discussions are appropriate there.

Yes, we message the player in that thread why it is locked and give them the same kind of information you've come to expect from a deletion notification (what's wrong and where you should post it, or why you shouldn't at all).

When we lock a thread because the discussions inside have gone off topic, it's probably because the topic was inherently unconstructive and going to result in that no matter how many conversations we removed.

Also, we do frequently remove individual comments as well...but then, you don't see those because they are gone.

As Deep Terror Nami mentioned, yes, Arbiters are able to remove replies on posts, but if the general conversation on a thread starts to get out of hand, we'll close the discussion to prevent it from getting even more heated instead of removing all of the discussion. If you have concerns about specific comments that you think should be deleted, you should use the REPORT button, and the moderation team will review it.

We're shifting towards closing discussions and away from deleting them altogether to improve visibility within the community on our policies of certain things like "naming and shaming" and posting in the incorrect sub-board. If you think that deleting these threads is better for the community, we can have that discussion. Again, we're extremely receptive to feedback, and we encourage anyone who has thoughts for improvements to put them forward.

I'm wondering at what point you will realize there's better things to do with your life than continue to cry here because your account got banned.

I dunno. They have never been able to move threads, supposedly the forums dont have the technology for it but thread moving has been a stamdard moderation tool on every single forum i have ever been on, so i dunno.
