So... I was going to play akali top, and i showed tht i was going to play akali. Mid didn't hover over anything and was pick after me. And he asked me "can i please akali?" and i said "Why?" and then he just straightup banned akali after that. Is that reportable/bannable? I'm really confused if these types of behavior gets punished.

Not punishable. Either they don't want to play against it and don't want to chance it getting picked, or don't care for players that do play it and in their opinion it usually underperforms.

Of course they could just be a jerk.

Always prep a backup, though one of the few ways you can really "defend" yourself against just a troll burning their ban on you is to not declare intention.

A shame since you'd like to prep your team for it, but it does open you up for that junk.

I'm sorry that happened to you. It has happened to me and I have seen it a lot in my games to other players. Based on what I've read on the forums and the support site, banning champ picks is not a punishable offense.

If this happens consistently, opt to hover Akali in the banning phase so they won’t ban her and then switch over to your actual ban last second and then get her via pickorder
