So I recently had this Morg that said "TY" after killing me and bmed. So I eventually muted her and I was determined to beat her. After 20 mins, I beat her and at the end I said "TY, also nice bm" and I unmuted her to see if she would say anything. She didn't say anything back.
Is it a punishable offense to do this? Or is it ok since she started it first?

Your specific example would probably be flagged as negative by the IFS specifically because you mentioned their BM. Without that, it could be read more playfully, which is what sets banter apart from BM. Responding to trolls is frowned upon. But, in either case, it would be given a very low toxicity score.
You considered their "ty" as BM. Do you want the IFS to flag that as negative or not?
"They started it first" is never a valid argument. What other people say has 0 influence.
Honestly don't even say "nice bm." It shows that you're really butthurt about them having bm'd you. If you really want to get the last laugh, come up with something creative to say at end game. That or just say EZ. Also yeah it's perfectly fine to let the enemy team know you railed them.
It's ok to bm as long as it's not a constant stream. There is a loading screen tip on that. Can't remember off the top of my head.
