There have been a few cases every now and then where someone in my champ select flames someone hard and then just dodges the game. Is it punishable if I manually report them? Will Riot have the chat logs or do I need to take a picture of it before hand?
You can try sending in a support ticket, they will probably have the chat logs... but it will likely be a little trickier to find them. However if they have them, then they will likely be punished. Just make sure you have the correct name.
Guess what? They won't be punished. The shitty terrible people who actually ruin games do not get punished. You know why Riot's system tells you that "The majority of players who get punished are never punished again?" Because they DO NOT PUNISH THE PEOPLE WHO DESERVE IT MOST
I do not think that we the players have the knowledge you seek. Therefore you need to contact Riot Support about the case. Hopefully they do have the logs even for the dodged pre-game-chats and can do something. If Support happens to reveal to you if they have the logs for such occasions, please spread the joyful message to us board readers. Oh, and if he reveals they do not have that information, that would be good to know too I guess - even though that would be sad news. The best thing of course would be to get the message from Rioters themselves, but they seem to write here even more rarely than they did before. I wonder if Tantram even works at Riot anymore, since he hasn't been writing anything lately as far as I know.
Edit; I just checked Tantram's posts; the latest I saw was from 15 days ago, so I guess he is still around, but responds rarely anymore. Or maybe he is on vacation.
YES, i got chat restricted (bs reason) but yes apparently i was 'toxic' in champ select and i was shown chat logs of it as well
