Thank you. Sadly I have recently lashed out at a troll. But I am going back to apologize to them for what I said. Though sadly I'm not expecting much of an acceptance of forgiveness. But I will be honest with what I did say was whole heartily rude and said in a tiny moment of weakness... [zombie-nunu-bummed] And it has been gnawing at my conscious ever since I calmed down... Ugh... One moment of weakness and I end up lashing out at another player who was trolling a board thread about the Tribunal... Man do I feel horrid... Excuse me while I go loathe in self pity in a corner.

I do get angry with egotism on this board, it's true, but I try to live my life by a simple idea. If you really REALLY want a better world and a better society, you have to invest. You have to be good to someone. Be nice. Be polite. Be respectful. Don't screw anyone over.

If someone gives you change for a twenty when you needed change for a ten? Give the extra ten back. If you don't, that person will get in trouble for their drawer being off. It's an investment towards the betterment of society. If you allow yourself to simply go 'it's the internet, who cares', and be an asshat, you are just contributing to the entropy of society.

If you can't be nice, at least stop contributing to that entropy.

Hoo boy. You and I should go to feed the homeless sometime. You get to meet a lot of people who will help another at any chance they can get, and you get to hear a lot of stories from the folks who come in for shelter. We're all shaped by our personal experiences, and if you've been encountering some negative experiences, I recommend creating your own positive experiences!

But I suppose that is part of the problem. Instead of positive experiences being the norm, you have to seek them out because there's too much negative stuff out there. That should be the reverse.

Sadly, I couldn't go in to detail about why this is without it turning in to a flame fest against me. Perhaps the best way to explain it is with an old song lyric. "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all."

I would call that situation "unique." If such a situation were to happen again, I would expect the victim to be maimed or killed. That's not me being negative. Just realistic.

I wouldn't disagree with you there, but I would still argue that it's still comparable to in-game behavior. No matter how good you are to people, there are people who will treat you better and there will be people who won't. That's just probability + human behavior + external conditions, etc. However, your chances of leaving a positive impact on other players is greatly increased by exhibiting that positivity yourself. That's why the title and the quote are

"You know, you treat people right, you can only **hope **that they treat you right"

I also hope he finds what he wants to do with his life. I tried doing a bit of research into whether there were any updates on the teenager but couldn't find anything. If someone finds anything on the teenager, feel free to share it :)
