Today we are going over the fourth set of chat logs volunteered to us. Review the logs, cast your vote, and discuss your decisions.

    I feel like the majority is gonna go negative, but I said neutral.

    Braum didn't flame, didn't argue. He just got really discouraged, in the face of what was clearly an overwhelming stomp. That doesn't make him a bad person, and I can sympathize with feeling like the game isn't worth playing any more.

    Not sure what he was actually doing during the "imma open mid" part. One player can't really make that decision, certainly not the support. It's not clear to me if he AFK'd or fed when he said that. If he did, then this was certainly negative. Without that information, though, I'm chalking it up to just defeated chatter.

    We can't always make people vomit sunshine and rainbows. Braum could have handled this game better, but he certainly played it cooler than the other players for the most part, so I say give him a pass.

    He's neutral. These kinds of statements (lol) usually depict how someone is tilting, and consequently reacts to tilting; he's teetering between giving up, and lightening up the mood of his team with humor. He may not be overly positive, but considering the flow of the game, as well as the expression of tilt and slight flame from the remainder of his team, that can be overlooked in the sense that those situations are hard to be positive in. Braum was a perfect example of being tilted, yet not being pushed to the extent of flaming his team.

    Based on the context of the chat logs alone neutral in my opinion makes the most sense. Initially asking to open mid and stating they wanted to give up before what I am going to assume is a surrender (game ended at 24 minutes) isn't really negative. Although, this is because I'm fine with people expressing the opinion that the game simply isn't winnable if done so in a not very harmful way and does not include afking, trolling, or playing worse to have the game end sooner. The rest of his team was arguing, and Ahri stated giving up before he himself did along with complaining the team didn't surrender pre-20 minutes. He really only made one mistake at 19:22/28 which in my opinion a single mistake like that in such an environment doesn't really deserve to be labelled as toxic/negative.

    This one is tough to judge. He behaves mostly neutrally at first (with a couple attempts to improve team morale), then later on gives the game up for lost and says that he is going to open mid. I don't think he was nearly positive enough for this log to be considered positive. There's quite a lot of negativity at the tail end of this match, but since he's not really insulting anyone in spite of his tilt and since he had a bit of positivity and a lot of neutrality early on, I am going to very hesitatingly vote that he was overall neutral, even though the line "imma just open mid" really gets on my nerves.

    This is a very tough one to judge for me personally. He started out on good terms, but as the game went on everyone's mindset and behavior started to go downhill, and even though Braum did try at one point to quell the uprising he eventually gave up and started contributing to the negative atmosphere as well. For me I would probably have to go with negative here honestly since he eventually chose to contribute to the negative environment instead of just focusing on and playing his own game. But like I said though this is a very tough case to judge, and one could easily make the argument for either negative or neutral, but definitely not for positive, that's for sure, at least not one that I could see or think of anyways.

    Yeah, those were my chat logs... was really discouraged at the end and wanted to open mid, but the rest of my team didn't, so i continued playing the game. After rereading my chat logs i would've voted negative too.

    I'd probably have reported Jax, but not Braum. Braum had a number of supportive comments. I didn't care for Braum's comment about opening mid, but since he's not actually mid, I wouldn't report him for it. I voted neutral.

    I said neutral since he didn't say anything toxic but he wasn't super positive either.

    I agree that he isn't extremely toxic, but asking for an open mid before 10 minutes isn't going to get a neutral or positive vote from me.

    Both sides. He is a bit negative and a bit positive, I see no problem here except giving up a little too easily. Pretty tame.

    id say braum was mostly positive. Alitlle negative with the open mid but for the most part he seemed to try and deescalate the conflicts and raise up his team.

    I vote neutral. It's clear the player was frustrated, but never did anything to harm their team. If it weren't for the "open mid" line of comments, I'd contemplate voting positive. And it's not like the game was potentially winnable, even the enemy team expected a 15 min surrender. That's the main reason I don't find issue with the 'open mid' in this specific game.

    This game is an excellent example of how to give up without being an asshat to allies, regardless of their role in losing/not surrendering. I don't condone giving up, but not even a dignitas baron would swing the game back (probably).

    Letting you know that I voted negative because I'm sounds like (might be wrong without a replay) that you did what I call the "silver open mid" : to open mid all your team has to agree. If you go afk and type "open mid" it's still going afk

    I went positive as it was a really hard game with lots of salt going aroun but braum continued to communicate even when there was basically no hope.

    Is there a way for you guys to have a megathread pinned with previous verdicts? Or maybe have each one link to the one before? It's hard to find previous ones in case you're trying to see if your logs have been used.

    I would have gone nuetral--maybe even positive--since he's clearly frustrated with his team but still trying to deescalate the arguments, but he actually makes two comments about opening mid. Once at 9:36 and again at 19:22 that brought it down to negative for me. Had it just been the late game comment, my vote would have stayed in the neutral range

    Braum wasn't too toxic, but he gave up real easily. I give up too but I don't afk and just say "open mid". I'll try but I know we lost already.

    I think this is similar to the day 1 vote. He's got some mix of positive, neutral, and negative. I voted neutral, but it's hard to make a vote when "negative" can mean anything from kinda snide to permaban-worthy.

    Over all I voted negative. There was a point in time where ahri was getting railed on about her performance and braum did throw in a few cents about how she was playing. (mostly agreeing with others complaints instead of saying anything outright negative) he did try to defuse some arguments later. It seemed the entire team was on tilt altho he did keep his head and kept from flaming. Also he was suggesting opening mid twice and had a general defeatist attitude. I would say that this chat while being negative imho does not deserve a punishment.
