Why isnt this a thing? everyone has days they will be short tempered on days like that why is there not a mute yourself option? Seriously It wouldnt be hard to put it in. It would stop so many issues. Why is it not in there?

Because if someone doesn't have the self control to not hit the enter key, they won't have the self control to mute themselves.

Not true at all. In hots this feature exists and i enable it all the time when im in a bad mood or tired or stressed. I then can press type and spam the hell away and none of it will show up.

i feel better and then can focus without having to worry about being banned cause i needed to rant for 2 seconds.

i disagree with this statement. its easier for someone to self mute at the start of a game with a level head rather then in game when theyre being flamed.

I like your idea, there's a ton of players who are like 90% typing and 10% playing EVEN THOUGH they are probably muted. This would be great for those who have a habit of typing more than playing.

There are a number of ways for you to "disable" chat so to speak (unbind Enter key, drag off screen, etc.) if you so incline. Rito is not here to babysit you nor are they here to create bad habits. Maybe you cannot control your own chat because you bring your bad habits from hots into league.

You make way too many unfounded assumptions about people you don't know. It's very rude. Also riots literal job is to create a game for people to play and enjoy. It is not against the rules for people to play while tired or mad. It would solve any chance of being toxic if they implemented this. No excuse would exist to be toxic. Hell you could even make it so that you can still type but only you can see it.

You get banned currently if you play too much and ever say anything slightly off putting ONCE in your life. that is a fact. The system works off of number of reports in a time. Once you reach a threshold of reports regardless of those reports validity the ban bot watches you. Once that happens you get banned if you ever mess up. Team has trolled you so you tell em yer only gonna split push? BANNED.

Having the ability to mute yourself in game and out of game but not disable it till out of game would solve any chance that those trolls managed to convince you to say such a horrible thing as you will not group only split push.

You can self mute yourself takes 5 secs to look up "how to unbind enter" and boom you've self muted but yet people still don't do it why would having the button in league fix it?
