Just got reported for doing top support

My brother wants to learn nasus, so i went top with him as bard support (sustain, cc, an escape that nasus does not have at all). this was in teambuilder. i marked myself as top. the little map thing on the right said i was top with him. everyone hit ready, which in my mind, means "i accept the team comp that is being given to me". 5 minutes in the xin jungler and the vayne bot complain that im not bot supporting vayne. xin instantly tells the enemy team to report me, and the katarina mid starts saying the same thing 10 minutes in. i keep asking what they will click on the report screen, to which xin replies "everything". only once did they give a coherent answer of "trolling" but that isnt a category, so idk what to make of it. breaking the meta to help your friends is against the summoner code i guess

Don't worry, off mera picks are defidently allowed. Even if you got reported you wont get punished for it, you did nothing wrong.

I once played against a duo top Bard + Renekton as Nasus myself....it was ranked....we got totally wrecked, the meta was made to be broken!

But, really, do you think thats gonna help him? I mean Nasus is a solo laner, so, he should get used to play alone in the lane, having a suport is not representative of what is like to play as Nasus top at all.

I mean, I really think those reports dont count, and I really think you didnt break any rule, and that if they dont want to have an off meta comp they should pay more attetion to that little map and get out of that room if they dont like the team comp. But also I think that wasnt really helpfull for your brother.

Doing what you were doing is not trolling. As long as you were not intentionally being a jerk to your teammates then the only ones who will get punished are the false reporters instead of you.

I fully agree with you here, If you click ready in team builder, that means you accept the comp as is.
