Had a player couple games ago tell a teammate to "kys" and he's played 3 games after that one .

I have seen at least 2 logs these last 30 days or so that have said it one time and got a 14 day.

I'm not trying to say your completely wrong, as we both Know posters often omit shit from their logs !

It could be a combination of other zero tolerance words also or a history of saying it once over other games, or combination of things to complicated to explain in a single post.

It should be clarified by a Rioter so we all understand and can help others with this. I'm just not clear on the whole subject. :)

Do you/anyone have a link to a current policy ?

I've also seen a log where they used kys as an insult, then again in the same game state that saying that was not ' wrong ' . Same person then stated the punishment was reduced...

Now I could plainly see that making that comment was not meant as a self harm, in the case I'm referring to but used to insult... ( wasn't an ARAM game ). So, again a bit confused where the line is.

my source is a certain guy that posted about bait bans who did a bunch of experiments on the limits of the system.

Players that are punished by repeating zero tolerance phrases ("report ___, he called me a n%%%%% f%%%%%") typically will get their punishment revoked the first time. But if they continued doing it, they'll stay banned.

I have certain respect for U & Cream. I won't add a list of all people as even some of the best and Worst posters sometimes make good posts.

I have been on these boards when they were still in beta, before that on GD ( shout out to that section ! )

I advocated very hard in the beginning that telling someone to ' off ' oneself is bad news/business. And should be avoided/ punished.

This was before KYS became a thing.

That guy wasn't a very credible source for information. When questioned in-depth about anything they flip-flopped and contradicted themselves worse than a politician.

It was really obvious they were just making stuff up in order to ruffle feathers.

There is an active site, planning activities to do to the complete board system. They are off the bait ban and now have gone on to use other tactics.!

Hmm ... I know that you were bickering with him alot more than anyone else.

Based on what I've seen here on player punishments and all, it does seem like that certain number of hate speech / encouraged harm will get someone punished and I know that number is greater than 1.

I didn't want to go too indepth into this specific topic as it can aid the toxics to game the system. Then again, I can probably make a bunch of new accounts and try it out and verify his words, but I see that his first post and his experiment does feel decently credible.

If you read the discussion chains where anybody questioned him he eventually revealed in many of them that he was just manipulating people for attention and because he thought it was funny to try to piss people off. Yes I bickered with him a lot. Because I robbed him of a lot of that fun of trolling by mitigating and preventing a lot of people from being baited into arguments with him.

The general stuff about his claims was plausible, but the actual scope and whatnot was not. He bragged about a whole lot of absurd stuff and showed that he basically was just acting like a god because he wanted to feel like he had power over Riot to force their hand.

His god complex was off the scale, and he lied pathologically in an effort to give his story credibility. Any in-depth questioning by anybody on those threads revealed countless cracks in his story and revealed that he was just seeking attention and didn't actually care about any grand ideals of improving the game at all.

yea .. I stopped reading his posts after a day or so.

His first few long posts were interesting enough to read, not sure if it holds any truth of how the system works, which I am much more interested in than his god complex.

Indeed. I stayed involved to rob him of that fun of trolling. And I succeeded, he got so angry that he went through my profile and commented the exact same copy-pasted statement on every one of my comments for an entire week's worth of history.

There was little - if any - merit in their claims and their story. I wouldn't put too much trust in their experiments, as they only presented the story about such experiments in their effort to manipulate everyone.

True, yesterday my feeding flaming jungler told me "kys tryharder in normals" when I asked to stop inting and concentrate on teamwork. I was so happy to get that moron banned only to find out today that he played like 10 games after that one. I swear to god if I called someone a twat I would get 15 permabans immediately but some people can write kys, super racist stuff, homophobic shit and get away with it, from my experience at least.

You asked him to "stop inting?" Come on dude, he was an asshole for reacting that way but you should never have prodded him like that.

A lot of the time people aren't intentionally giving up kills, they just make mistakes or get out-played. Accusing them of doing something they haven't done is a surefire way to incur a hurtful response from them.

I never equated your behavior. His was much worse than yours, and he is still responsible for his own behavior. But just as he is for his behavior, you are for yours.

The fact remains, if you don't accuse teammates of doing intentional things that they did not intend to do, they won't get angry with you or react poorly to you for falsely accusing them.

Yup I've been saying this since preseason started. They need to turn their autosystem back on. Clearly they turned it off/toned it down so players returning to check out the preseason don't get banned and quit again.

I'm not sure anymore ( within the last 36 hrs.) , I thought it was zero tolerance word/statement.

I had one guy jokingly say it to someone in game and I said "ohhh now why would you say that? You just got your account banned if someone reports you" and he was like "oh my friend said I wouldn't do it so I had to". I said I don't care about stupid words and phrases so don't worry about a report from me, but if someone here does, you're fucked. No one reported him. He got away with it. xD so yeah, it's not always instant ban.

Someone who called another teammate a racial slur 2 weeks ago is still playing this game as of 6 hours ago.

I "don't care" about the overall community in that regard, but if you're going to preach the good gospel about intolerance, then follow through. Absolutely disgusting and shameful, and honestly, with the auto ban system, that needs to be caught off rip ANYWAY.
