Isn't calling people "toxic" very judgmental ?

One thing that always struck my wrong about these forums and Riot punishment system, they are always bring up this term about "toxic players," but that term in itself is a projection of your own feelings. So, is a toxic player someone who makes you feel sad, or angry, or frustrated? So basically the idea of a toxic player, is something when YOU get offended or upset, and blame it on another player. How is a different person supposed to read your mind and know what is going to trigger you or cause you to get mad?

Basically calling someone a "toxic player" is a very judgmental, name calling shaming thing which seems pretty hypocritical., when essentially you are being toxic by definition by _calling _someone else toxic. So in short, its just a way to appease a certain group of players who enjoy making a big stink about things.

The Riot staff is toxic for imposing such ridiculous rules on their player base. They only do it to make more money. There was a time where my first account got permabanned because I told someone on my team I wanted to kill him and his whole family, but Remmington the 3rd gave me a second chance. He personally looked at my ticket and reactivated my account with a new name called Trinity Hammer. Those were the good days. Now a days you call someone an idiot and you're going to get permabanned. At this point you need to be a monk of some kind or a person without a soul in order to survive this toxic community.

If someone tells you what you said is offensive, you don't get to say it isn't. People get offended by different things and not everyone is the same. I think people just need to realize that and just say sorry from time to time.

Everything directed at someone else is "judgemental".

So what? Feelings is what the whole toxicity topic is all about.

How is a different person supposed to read your mind and know what is going to trigger you or cause you to get mad?

Exactly like in real life. There are things basically all people agree on. For example almost all people agree that insulting someone is rude. So you don't have to read anyones mind to know that insulting a person will offend that person, it's something you can simply assume based on the usual behavioral standards of our society.

Is the word "toxic" also a projection of your feelings when it applies to the Environment? The concept is exactly the same.

Is the word "Friendly" also a projection of your own feelings?

Toxic is a very light word to use when compared to the "Retard", "%%%%%%", "%%%got", "Autistic" that these people are throwing out. I think they should be able to handle it.

On these boards, and in the game, toxic has become a different word than what it was originally meant to describe. It's now used as an insult, or a threat. originally it was used to define actions and speech that stick with a player negatively, and increases the probability that the negatively affected player will continue the negative trend in future games.

You can find great examples of toxic being used by both punished players, and those that are criticizing those players on these boards. It's kinda a bummer just how quickly and brazenly the title is thrown at anyone who is disagreed with.
