I got 14 day banned towards the end of season 7 and never received my plat border I worked hard achieving plat and I don't even have a simple icon to show for it, no border, it does not even show up on my profile. I find that that's stupid and completely unfair I already lost the Graves skin and some other rewards that's enough.
One could ask why get banned and lose the border? "I feel that's enough". Of course you do, you're being punished and trying to salvage as much as you can. They give you a reward for free assuming that you can behave the way they'd like you to. You didn't, thus, they took the toy away.
You don't get any of the ranked rewards at all in that scenario. Why would you expect to get the border?
You think it's fair for you to be toxic to players who are just trying to enjoy the game? I believe it's completely fair and it should be a valuable lesson for you to learn from. Want the rewards? Earn them. Not only by working your way up in tiers but with a sportsmanship and respect.
You're either part of the game or part of the problem. In this case, you chose to be part of the problem, so you lost the rewards. Want the rewards? Be part of the game next time.
