What do I do when my team refuses to fight (Ardent Censor Perceptions)?

I had a game where my team refused to team fight because I didn't buy on my support...

wtf is that? This perception that you can't win without is so dumb.

It isn't that players think is "meta" that's so dumb. It's the perception that the game is unwinnable without it. My win rate without is good.

Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with players that refuse to fight if you don't buy ? What should I do? Should I buy just to get my team to play the game?

The best scenario is one in which you comply with your team and build an ardent. Report them after the game if you think they deserve a punishment.

Of course you are under no obligation to buy it, but if you want the best scenario it's what you do.

The real question is, how many people on your team can benefit from it and whether the person(s) that benefit from it really do benefit from it.

If you only have 1 constant AAer, and he sucks, too afraid to go into and fight, I would just debunk them and say that our team's casters are the carry and I'll buy items to support their survival instead.

On the other hand, if you had Kayle, Jax, Sona, Xin, and any ADC, it'll be silly NOT to go ardent. Infact, even if the support was a Garen, I would have gone Bond of stone w/ FrozenMallet into Ardents into full tank. Regardless of how inefficient that item is on Garen.

I mean it's a really good item to get on healing/shielding supports since it gives you, and whoever you shield/heal a bunch of crazy good stats. Who doesn't want 10% increased healing/shielding?

I would argue it's almost item 2049 status. Can you do well/win a game without it? Sure. But does it benefit your team and give you an advantage if used correctly? Absolutely.

item 3504 is really good atm, not as strong as it was before, but still worth picking up and buying.

However, I don't agree with your team not fighting just because you didn't buy the item. Hopefully you don't run into another team that does that, but if you do, I guess buy it just so they don't keep harassing you. (Although knowing some people, they'll still find a reason to harass you.)
